As a Solution Design Architect for large and sophisticated opportunities, you will be responsible for crafting innovative and comprehensive solutions that meet the outstanding needs of our clients. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to develop technical and business solutions aligned with customers strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of our products and services, as well as the ability to demonstrate your expertise to craft solutions that deliver value and accelerate business outcomes for our clients.
Your Impact
- Solution Design: Own the design of sophisticated solutions for large opportunities, considering technical, functional, and operational requirements. Ensure that the proposed solutions align with the client's objectives and budget constraints.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Cisco’s products and services, industry best practices, and new technologies. Apply this knowledge to design innovative solutions that give the company a competitive edge.
- Cross Architecture Attitude: Leverages a cross-architecture approach in solutions development with mid to high level technical expertise to build journey maps and multi-year roadmaps for our customers.
- Develop & Design Artefacts: Build detailed solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Ensure that all partners have a clear understanding of the proposed solutions.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with the sales and client management teams to understand client needs, conduct requirements gathering, and build strong client relationships.
- Consultative Selling: Demonstrates consultative selling motions with confidence via designs, blueprints, architecture frameworks, systems, or products (the solutions) and aligning them to the customer’s desired business outcomes.
- Proactive Demand Generation: Hunt for deals, aligning activities with Sales team for Cisco's Lifecycle selling and ground-breaking opportunities in strategic accounts.
- C Suite Engagement: Excellent executive level communication and presentation skills to simplify conveying the value of underlying sophisticated solutions. Bridging the gap between the technical team and the executive leadership.
- Industry Expertise: Demonstrates industry specific knowledge for contextualising solutions to the vertical.
- Ecosystem Creation: Works with internal/external stakeholders including ecosystem partners to ensure integrated and scalable technology implementations can be realised.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies to address them optimally.
- Be the Bridge: Focus on pre-sales architecture activities and ensuring a follow-thru with post-sales architects; Become the bridge to ensure the scoped solution is delivered.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance and insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in business development, solution architecture, or technical consulting roles in the technology industry.
- Consistent record of crafting large-scale, sophisticated IT solutions involving multi-architecture domains (networking, security, collaboration, data center, cloud).
- Experience developing solution architecture artefacts such as high-level designs, bill of materials (BoMs), and cost estimates.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco's portfolio and competitor technologies, with relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated operational excellence in leading pre-sales funnels, driving forecast accuracy, maintaining meticulous hygiene, and generating actionable insights to accelerate deal progression.
- Experience engaging with C-level partners in enterprise or public sector accounts to articulate technical strategies and influence outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and storytelling capabilities, especially in executive-level presentations.
- Demonstrated consultative selling experience and ability to align solutions with customer business outcomes.
- Experience working across different teams and building coordinated solutions with ecosystem partners.
- Deep industry-specific knowledge (e.g., utilities, finance, oil & gas, public sector) to contextualise solutions.

Les employés reçoivent jusqu’à douze jours fériés payés par année civile, ce qui comprend un jour férié flottant (pour les employés non exemptés), plus un jour de congé pour leur anniversaire. Les nouveaux employés non exemptés accumulent jusqu’à 16 jours de congés annuels, à raison de 4,92 heures par période de paie. Les nouveaux employés exemptés participent à la politique de congés annuels flexibles de Cisco qui ne fixe pas de limite précise quant au nombre de jours de congé pouvant être pris par les employés admissibles. Cependant, cette flexibilité dépend de la disponibilité et de certaines contraintes opérationnelles. Tous les nouveaux employés sont admissibles aux congés de maladie, sous réserve de la Politique relative aux congés de maladie de Cisco. Ils auront droit à quatre-vingts (80) heures de congés de maladie à leur date d’embauche et le 1er janvier de chaque année par la suite. Jusqu’à 80 heures de congés de maladie non utilisées seront reportées d’une année civile à l’autre, de sorte que le nombre maximal d’heures de congé de maladie dont un employé peut disposer est de 160 heures. Les employés de l’Illinois bénéficient d’un programme spécifique de congés spécialement conçu pour répondre aux exigences locales. Tous les employés disposent également de congés payés pour faire face à des situations critiques ou d'urgence. Nous offrons des heures supplémentaires rémunérées pour faire du bénévolat et rendre service à la communauté.
Les employés participant à des plans de vente reçoivent, en plus de leur salaire de base, une rémunération incitative fondée sur les performances, qui est répartie entre les composantes sur quota et non. Pour la rémunération incitative basée sur des quotas, Cisco paie généralement comme suit :
0,75 % de l'incitatif cible pour chaque tranche de 1 % du chiffre d’affaires atteint jusqu’à concurrence de 50 % du quota;
1,5 % de l'incitatif cible pour chaque tranche de 1 % du chiffre d'affaires atteint entre 50 % et 75 %;
1 % de l'incitatif cible pour chaque tranche de 1 % du chiffre d'affaires atteint entre 75 % et 100 %; et lorsque le rendement dépasse 100 % d’atteinte, les taux incitatifs sont égaux ou supérieurs à 1 % pour chaque tranche de 1 % du chiffre d'affaires atteint, sans limites de rémunération incitative.
Pour les éléments de performance de vente non basés sur les quotas, tels que les objectifs de vente stratégiques, Cisco peut payer jusqu’à 125 % de l’objectif. Les plans de vente de Cisco ne prévoient pas de seuil minimum de performance pour le versement de la rémunération incitative pour les ventes.
