What You'll Do

Data Center Team of Cisco is looking for a Manager to build and drive Cisco's Next-Gen data-center products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to groom, feed and grow a talented group of engineers responsible for working on groundbreaking hardware and software solutions.

You will chip in to the success of the product by having both Technological and People Leadership Skills. You will be responsible for delivering complex products from ground up through the life cycle of the product.

You will be responsible for working closely with almost all functions which are required to build a complex product.

Product Marketing - To define features

ASIC/HW engineers - Custom ASIC and HW development

Solution Architects - For software solutions that augment the hardware

Test teams - to ensure high quality

Customers - For enhanced customer satisfaction and

You are a part of a team of self-starting engineers who love to work in a fast-paced environment delivering high quality, reliable software solutions.

Who You Are

An engineering manager with ten plus years of actual software development skills building networking products and five plus years of handling a dynamic team of 10+ engineers. You should have formed teams for success and handled a single group for more than four years and gone through at-least one or two complete lifecycles of a product. You have the capability to understand and arbitrate technological challenges with superior design when required.

  • You have 5+ years of management experience delivering Networking software.
  • In depth understanding of Forwarding areas like QoS, Security would be ideal.
  • You will have an understanding of L2/L3/MPLS/VXLAN and emerging Networking Standards and Protocols also recommended.
  • Ability to design and develop highly distributed embedded software.
  • Ability to arbitrate and identify critical technological outcomes to come up with a Superior Design.
  • 7+ years of hands on experience in crafting and developing software for complex products.
