What You'll Do

Cisco helps to connect everyone to everything, securely. As we enter the AI era, we are helping to build the infrastructure that will deliver the processing power and networking performance to power AI. There is no AI without the network. The network is the answer to how far AI can go. Join the #1 networking company in the world and share our enthusiasm to showcase how we, together with our customers and partners are powering critical connections that are improving peoples’ lives, experiences and the global economy.

We’re looking for an experienced PR/Communications professional who enjoys working with and pitching media, and has a strong ability to multi-task, problem-solve and write a broad range of content including news releases, blogs, messaging and strategy documents. As a core member of the Cisco Networking PR team, you’ll build key relationships to keep up with the action internally across the Networking business, Sales, Communications, Product Marketing, Customer Solutions Marketing, Engineering and Legal — and externally with media, customers, partners and influencers to help promote Cisco’s innovation and leadership in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Help to drive thought leadership to differentiate our executives across AI, Cloud, Networking + Security, Wireless and Sustainability segments.
  • Support content development to promote Cisco success stories across news releases, blogs, bylines, newsroom features, and customer and partner video Q&A.
  • Drive innovative, proactive media campaigns and feature stories across tech and business media.
  • Support Cisco at various industry events and trade shows to include media interviews with our business leaders, along with media, customer and partner receptions.
  • Work closely with our product, marketing, and Global Communications partners domestically and internationally to help drive Networking stories for Cisco.
  • Assist with messaging development for spokespeople ahead of launches, events and in the moment for industry and market reactions.
  • Work closely with our Digital Communication leads including paid and social media to develop and execute multi-channel programs.

Who You Are

You will become an ambassador for the Cisco brand. You have very strong writing and project management skills. You'll use your presentation and relationship-development skills to reach, engage and communicate with a variety of audiences.

  • You are a short and to the point communicator, able to take complex, technical topics and simplify the language to deliver concise messaging for the average business reporter to understand
  • You like collaborating with colleagues to deliver measurable outcomes
  • You like having fun at work
  • You are agile, a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You are personable, and great at building the relationships needed to help you reach your goals
  • You have experience partnering and collaborating for success in a multi-layered organization across functions and geographies

Why Cisco?

#WeAreCisco. We are all unique, but collectively we bring our talents to work as a team, to develop innovative technology and power a more inclusive, digital future for everyone. How do we do it? Well, for starters – with people like you!

Nearly every internet connection around the world touches Cisco. We’re the Internet’s optimists. Our technology makes sure the data traveling at light speed across connections does so securely, yet it’s not what we make but what we make happen which marks us out. We’re helping those who work in the health service to connect with patients and each other; schools, colleges, and universities to teach in even the most challenging of times. We’re helping businesses of all shapes and sizes to connect with their employees and customers in new ways, providing people with access to the digital skills they need and connecting the most remote parts of the world – whether through 5G, or otherwise.

We tackle whatever challenges come our way. We have each other’s backs, we recognize our accomplishments, and we grow together. We celebrate and support one another – from big and small things in life to big career moments. And giving back is in our DNA (we get 10 days off each year to do just that).

We know that powering an inclusive future starts with us. Because without diversity and a dedication to equality, there is no moving forward. Our 30 Inclusive Communities, that bring people together around commonalities or passions, are leading the way. Together we’re committed to learning, listening, caring for our communities, whilst supporting the most vulnerable with a collective effort to make this world a better place either with technology, or through our actions.

So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us! #WeAreCisco
