About the Role:

As a Customer Adoption Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of solving sophisticated technical challenges in the domains of backend services, IoT, and networking technologies. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high customer satisfaction through technical engagement with leading customers to drive adoption and expansion of Cisco Spaces offerings, provide expert handling of critical issues, develop solutions to sophisticated technical problems, and foster strong collaboration with our engineering team to influence product direction.

Responsibilities:

Technical Customer Engagement: Lead technical discussions with high-value and early adopter customers to resolve deployment challenges, introduce new features, and drive adoption, expansion, and renewal efforts.

Escalation Resolution and Engineering Work: Actively resolve significant customer critical issues with a hands-on approach, demonstrating deep expertise in backend systems, IoT, and wireless-networking.

Solution Design and Implementation: Design and implement sophisticated code fixes for customer issues across backend services. This responsibility entails writing and committing code that ensures seamless integration with IoT devices and wireless hardware, emphasizing the importance of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Collaboration with Engineering and DevOps Practices: Work closely with teams, guiding technical discussions, and contributing to process (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) and product improvements. You will be implementing DevOps methodologies to improve deployment practices, enhance automation, and ensure scalable and reliable system operations.

Technical Leadership and Product Expertise: Serve as a senior technical advisor, evaluating and articulating customer technical needs and challenges to internal teams, ensuring customer requirements are prioritized and integrated into the product roadmap. Demonstrate a profound understanding of Cisco Spaces product design, architecture, and location and IoT technologies to guide both customers and engineering teams towards feasible and optimal solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Expert level technical experience and development expertise in Core Java, Kotlin, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Struts, Webservices, Spring, Hibernate, Java Script, JQuery and AJAX
  • Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design, using Domain Driven Design, and Design Patterns
  • Experience with Web 2.0 concepts and technologies (AJAX, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, etc.)
  • Design level experience and solutions incorporating Java, Kotlin, JPA/Hibernate, JMS, Kafka, Streaming technologies, Web Services, Web Applications, HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Experience with tools like Maven, ANT, CVS, SVN, Git
  • Experience and development expertise in data-driven applications using significant relational database engines/NO SQL Databases as part of the overall application architecture (experience with any or all of the following highly preferred: MySQL Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Excellent debugging and testing skills.
  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with a strong focus on backend services, IoT & wireless networking.

Une fois que la performance dépasse 100 % du quota, les taux incitatifs peuvent augmenter jusqu’à cinq fois le taux standard sans plafonnement de la rémunération incitative. Pour les éléments de performance des ventes non basés sur des quotas, tels que les objectifs de vente stratégiques, Cisco peut payer jusqu’à 125 % de l’objectif. Les plans de vente de Cisco ne prévoient pas de seuil minimum de performance pour le versement de la rémunération incitative des ventes.
