About the Team:
It is a pivotal time to join the Innovation team at AppDynamics. We are a small, close-knit, fast paced, and highly adaptable team with expertise in Product Development, Business Analysis, Research and Design. Our team charter is to drive business critical growth, organic innovation, and culture at AppDynamics. We work cross-functionally to form coalitions that solve big problems and address new opportunities. As part of Cisco, we help to craft a critical facet of their technology portfolio.
About the Role:
This is a role for a strategic and influential person who values how relationships impact results. The role will facilitate how our team collaborates across the organization to align executive partners, act on new innovation opportunities and ultimately own an array of innovation engagements. This position best suits a charismatic and experienced self-starter who can plan, own, and deliver their work while being graceful under time pressure, working closely with a diverse array of partners, and thriving in an ambiguous, discovery-driven environment. We are constantly learning as we go; you'll learn and define the practice with us.
This role's mission is to be a driving force in our innovation, growth and commercialization practices. By deploying a gamut of facilitative and relationship management tactics they will work closely with a cross-functional team of business, design, and technology partners to solve organizational and marketplace problems. This role will connect the dots between where our organization is going and where it is currently in the Business Observability, IT space. We're looking for an individual with a range of leadership, facilitation, and problem-solving skills but a passion for people, action, and results.
The Innovation Engagement Lead will:
- Own, design, and lead workshops to cultivate broad engagement and alignment on business critical problems, new concepts, and opportunities
- Own the Innovation team’s portfolio of events
- Own and lead ad hoc projects including but not limited to qualitative research projects and strategic innovation events
- Turn Growth & Strategy insights into design and innovation opportunities in close partnership with the Growth & Strategy leadership team
- Seek out opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and partners to grow the team’s network of partners

You are experienced in some combination of account management, customer development, client experience, and product development. You have a track record of establishing strong relationships and delivering projects successfully. You are at home when facilitating and leading groups and possess a grounding in design-thinking practices.
You are hungry to learn new domains, business and operating models, and tactics. You have an interest or experience with the IT industry and patience for how enterprises operate.
