MANAGER.STRATEGY AND PLANNING_ Contingent Workforce Senior Manager

Cisco Customer Experience is seeking a dynamic individual to bring their experience and energy to lead the CX Contingent Workforce management strategy. This includes developing globally consistent policies, processes, and effective governance mechanisms powered by metrics, data & analytics to optimize the contingent workforce. 

Who You’ll Work With

You will work across CX Global Operations, finance, HR and with Cisco’s Global Procurement team to develop innovative ways to help Cisco optimize headcount and spend and operate more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment
    • Lead assessment for contingent worker roles and cost trends to inform strategic decisions
    • Drive data accuracy and analysis
    • Map contingent workforce to CX blueprint strategy
  • Governance
    • Establish CX contingent worker governance structure to monitor and manage the population; incorporate and drive Cisco Procurement policies
  • Automation/Reporting
    • Own CX requirements for enterprise-wide contingent worker management tool
  • Planning/Forecasting
    • Integrate contingent workforce into annual capacity planning and forecasting
  • Reporting
    • Establish reporting frequency and cadence
    • Provide executive level updates, briefings and read outs on business impact
  • Program/Change Management
    • Establish program structure including key business outcomes, metrics
    • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams including regional business leads, operations, finance, HR
    • Oversee change management strategy
  • Teaming
    • Support the dynamic Workforce Management team and grow and mentor team talent


  • You've achieved a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) and have 10+ years experience in leading multiple work streams with various partners in a complex environment
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts at multiple levels of understanding - both verbally and visually
  • Demonstrated experience with both data driven systems and conducting complex analysis
  • Experience in strategy, planning, Workforce Design and/or organizational workforce models
  • Curiosity, well-adapted and driven in complex environments
  • Results oriented with ambitious deadlines across multiple business units
  • Pursue continuous improvement and dedicated to excellence

Nice to have experience:

  • Global Procurement and/or contract management experience
  • Organizational design experience
  • Implementation of complex systems
  • Designing performance management systems
  • PMP, CSM, CPM or other certifications a plus
