Cisco Meraki is seeking a passionate network engineer as our Training Infrastructure Specialist to help support and maintain the infrastructure needs of the growing Product Enablement team.

In this position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting lab infrastructures that are used for facilitating training programs at Cisco Meraki.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of technical projects along with tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Perform network analysis, capacity planning, and testing as necessary
  • Install network hardware and software and maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
  • Build and maintain infrastructure documentation for lab architectures
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure related incidents and outages
  • Support training programs and assist in the development of the content as needed
  • Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events and minimize operational complexity providing hands-on support
  • Work occasional evening or weekend hours for project implementations and support
  • Short and long term Infrastructure capacity plan and implementation

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a technical role with hands-on experience in the following areas: network design and troubleshooting (routing/switching, security, wireless, voice, etc), virtualized environments (VMWare ESXi and vCenter), cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc), Windows (Active Directory domain management, NPS, etc), and Cisco overlay and security products (DNAC, ISE, etc).
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions
  • Experience crafting network diagrams, technical training and process documentation
  • Must be able to quickly diagnose system problems and implement solutions to restore functionality

Other Requirements:

  • Required to work from San Francisco office 2-3 days a week
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with Meraki hardware and services is highly desired
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Strong English required
