The Global Total Rewards organization delivers total reward strategy; designs rewards policy and programs; and delivers locally relevant solutions to ensure that the functional can deliver against its strategy through the best and most engaged inclusive workforce.

The Total Rewards Consultant role partners with the India Country HR team, the functional HR Leads and the functional compensation team, to develop and deliver a market and functional relevant total reward solutions that drives the functional outcomes; develops compliant, market relevant reward solutions that are aligned with the global reward philosophy and strategy, and that supports the employee deal.

 Role Overview

The roles key functions are:

  • To partner with the theatre HR teams to develop and deliver a market and functional relevant total reward strategy that drives the functional outcomes;
  • To partner with the functional HR and Rewards teams to deliver relevant, competitive practices to enable attraction and retention of talent;
  • To partner with the other Practices to develop compliant, market relevant reward solutions that are aligned with the global reward philosophy and strategy, and that supports the employee deal.

Key Relationships

  • Reporting to the APJC Total Rewards Lead and a member of the APJC Total Rewards Consultant team;
  • Partner with the APJC Total Rewards Lead to provide total rewards solutions to the VP HR;
  • Partner and team member to the HR Theatre Leader and their country HR team;
  • Partner to the functional HRP and to the Corporate functional Compensation lead on identification, recommendation and delivery of compensation programs and solutions;
  • Partner to Employee Experience APJC Vendor/Compliance Manager, Local HR Services & Life Cycle Leads in the delivery of new or revised plans, programs and policies.

Role Functions

·       To understand the functional strategy, direction and objectives in order to create a functional relevant reward strategy in line with the global reward philosophy and strategy;

·       Partner with the HR Theatre Lead and Partners to develop and implement reward solutions for the functional / theatre

·       To support the functional / theatre to manage their reward related opex costs and to ensure return on investment from the solutions implemented

·       Partner with Employee Experience to ensure smooth implementation and administration of new plans into the theatres

·       Partner with the total rewards analysts as well as other practice teams to ensure effective implementation of global and regional reward initiatives or acquisitions

·       Respond to regional or functional related activities and issues in a timely and effective manner, including but not limited to pensions governance requirements, benefits renewals, transfers between function or roles, mobility/assignment requests etc.

Incumbent Experience and Attributes

•        15+ years’ experience of delivering total rewards strategy and solutions in a highly matrixed and complex multi-national environment

•        Demonstrated experience of working effectively and influencing different cultures

•        Ability to effectively manage and influence multiple stakeholders, developing credibility quickly with the functional, local HR functions and corporate HR functions, and to effect change

•        Ability to manage and prioritize own workload
