Who You'll Work With

You will be a key member on an impactful team working closely with a group of Managers, Program Managers, Architects, and Technical Leaders from IT Cross functional Teams.

What You Will Do:

As a Technical Project Manager, you will work closely with IT Development teams, IT Operations, and IT Program/Project Managers to deliver high quality IT Application Releases.

As a member of the Enterprise Release Change Management Organization (ERCMO), you will handle IT releases (cloud native, application updates, patches and, hardware upgrades) using the Agile methodology. This includes ensuring the release readiness criteria are met i.e. quality of the release, environment readiness, training and support plans, rollout and back-out plans, and risk management plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform overall program-level planning and complete interdependent projects
  • Participate in meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
  • Develop program metrics
  • Handle program financials
  • Produce accurate and timely reports of program status through the release lifecycle
  • Assess deployment readiness, identify risks and issues, develop risk mitigation strategies, and define a process to run critical issues
  • Giving feedback on improvements for the release process through Program Increment Planning and Sprints
  • Lead and coordinate Go-Live activities including preparing support personnel, complete deployment plans and triage issues during deployment
  • Conduct monthly service reviews with application business owners to obtain feedback on the deployments and provide guidance on the application release roadmap
  • Manage effective decision-making with leaders, sponsors, and business partners
  • Establish and facilitate the interlock and operating model for project execution

Who You Are:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Business Management, or equivalent work experience

  • 6+ years of experience in release management for enterprise systems and cloud based applications
  • X number of years of experience in technical program management with experience managing end-to-end lifecycle projects
  • Experience developing and tracking metrics
  • Experience in Agile and, DevOps methodologies
  • PMP & Agile certifications are preferred
  • Strong organizational skills to run multiple challenging priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working cross functionally and globally with operations, product and support teams
  • Any experience in using tools such as JIRA is an added advantage
  • Speaks with authority and writes with clarity to keep the senior leadership team informed.
  • Capable of removing roadblocks that stand in the way of our successful release and project completion
  • Outstanding analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with strong business planning and operations skills
  • Positive and solution-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal social skills
  • Adept at cross-functional and organizational collaboration, influence, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong communicator and teammate
  • Demonstrable record of successfully driving issues to closure and working well within a time driven environment
