The Cisco Wireless team is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to support product management activities for our industry-leading wireless business which is 50% of the market-share in enterprise wireless. This team is responsible for both Cisco cloud managed (Meraki) and on prem wireless. In this role, you would be driving a wide number of high visibility initiatives, including but not limited to: evolving a winning product line strategy, building software differentiation, and conceptualizing and completing a strategy to develop adjacent product lines to create the next big disruption. You will help us build our vision for #simplicity while bringing together Wireless, security, AI, and intelligent API ecosystems. You will be instrumental in the expansion of our large campus wireless capabilities through collaboration with the various product teams for the extended Full Stack portfolio (e.g., MS, MX, MV, MT, Dashboard, Catalyst, Switching, and ISE)

You will work closely with the executive team to establish a winning strategy, and collaborate with our outstanding sales, marketing, and partner teams to ensure continued market adoption and rapid growth!

Responsibilities:
- Drive development and creation of impactful technical collateral to better enable our support, sales engineers, customers, and partners
- Close collaboration with engineering teams through design, testing, and product launch
- Run beta and pilot programs
- Meet with customers and prospects, share our vision, and understand their needs
- Acting as a strong advocate on behalf of our partners to internal Product teams to ensure we are all aligned on completing our mission
- Review and prioritize customer-reported bugs and critical issues and establish a plan to address them
Minimum requirements:
- Multi-functional experience across product management, software engineering and marketing and having worked with different parts of an organization (internal/external customer support, channel partners, sales or systems engineering)
- 7+ years of experience with WI-FI and associate areas (IT administration, technical marketing/sales/support, or similar)
- Understanding of and experience with cloud technologies and software development
- Knowledge of network technologies like DHCP, DNS, network topologies, etc.
- Ability to easily communicate complicated concepts to non-technical audience
Bonus points:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration and scripting languages like Ruby, Python, Javascript, or similar
- An ambitious, can-do attitude with a strong sense of product quality
- Loves solving technical problems in creative ways
- Curious nature and desire to tinker: you want to pull things apart to see how they work
- Ability to distill complicated ideas to just the right number of words
- Experienced with technical writing and querying data using tools such as Salesforce/SQL

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
