As a Senior Technical Leader in this team, you will be developing and supporting software that breathes life into Cisco's Aironet and Catalyst Access Points product line.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across teams to craft systems that tackle complex problems for our customers.
You will focus on upgrading/maintaining compilers, upgrading Linux kernel and open source packages, improving debuggability, eliminating technical debt, and supporting developers on build/infrastructure needs. All of these are key to accelerating the release of new products and platforms to customers.
You will be responsible for improving and re-architecting existing components and subsystems, bringing up new boards/products and features to support the growth of access point, in terms of functionality, simplicity, scalability, and availability.

BS in CS + 12 years or MS in CS + 10 years
Extensive experience programming in C and/or C++
Experience in system design and architecture
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP(v4, v6) networks and related protocols
Kernel-level programming experience in the areas of networking, security and memory
Expertise in developing/debugging Linux kernel and userspace code
Linux kernel networking stack knowledge (Netdevice, SKB, softirq )
Linux network device driver/data-path performance expertise
Experience with build systems (Yocto, OpenWRT) and Gnu Makefiles
Experience with bring up and system boot process using systemd
Expertise in Linux shell scripting
Prior security experience, particularly in exploit and vulnerability analysis.
Prior experience working with low-level code, such as OS kernel, firmware or device drivers.
Knowledge of low-level operating system internals (including kernel internals), components, APIs, and design.
Understanding multi-threaded concurrent systems development in any of our supported platforms, with an interest to grow skills in all of them.
Experience in 802.11 Wi-Fi systems, standards and protocols.
Experience with Wi-Fi protocols such as 802.11k, 802.11v, 802.11r
SELinux policy development experience
