The impact you’ll have includes:

  • Providing a common provisioning, identity and access management (PIAM) capability eliminating friction as the user pivots from tool to tool within the portfolio and simplifying user management.
  • Enabling Cisco Secure product teams to accelerate delivery of value and focus more on innovation.
  • Providing great developer experience for the product teams within Cisco Security – by providing highly available APIs with documentation and libraries, self-service tools, and platform observability.

What you’ll be doing:

This is a highly visible role that requires expertise in Identity and Access Management. In this role, you'll engage and influence key stakeholders, lend expertise to a team of developers, and be able to break down complex problems into simple solutions. You should also be able to get hands on and code when necessary. You will also: 

  • Perform daily code reviews and maintain good code health
  • Design and develop new features and capabilities 
  • Understand and estimate level of effort for feature requests
  • Mentor team members
  • Assist with vulnerability management
  • Diagnose production issues and remove blockers
  • Lead engineering-led investments

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Software Development development experience 
  • 5+ years of experience developing products and features using Golang or Java 
  • 5+ years of experience deploying large-scale cloud-native applications in AWS
  • 2+ years of experience using Identity and Single Sign-on technologies such as OIDC, OAuth, SAML, Okta or similar

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with secure development practices - e.g., mitigating the OWASP Top Ten
  • Comprehensive background in React, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, responsive design, and consuming web services
  • Significant experience with automated, cross-browser testing

This position is remote, candidates should be flexible to align with west coast business hours.

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
