This position is based in our San Jose, CA offices. The position requires on-site lab work. There may be flexibility in days per week required on-site. Relocation may be considered.


Who You'll Work With


The Computing Systems Products Group helps to enable the fully unified data center through The Unified Computing Systems innovative architecture. We architect the next generation unified computing systems, including compute, storage, network, visualization, and management into a single platform. The team designs, implements, and delivers Industry leading computing system products.


What You'll Do


You will be part of the dynamic and hardworking team working on innovative projects. In this highly visible role as a Technical Leader, you will:

  • Lead system design on computing system products
  • Bring up systems and complete engineering validation in the lab
  • Drive product from concept to production
  • Interact with cross-functional teams for technical discussions
  • Address challenging problems and issues

Who You Are


The Minimum Requirements for This Role:

  • Bachelors in Electronic or Computer Engineering is required. Masters is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in system level development, preferably in the server/computer/network industry
  • Firsthand board design knowledge, familiar with design tools including Cadence Concept, and Allegro
  • Job will require design and lab work
  • Experience with High-Speed Network Interfaces (10G/25G/100G)
  • Experience with PCIe adaptors and switches
  • Familiar with high-speed design signal integrity issues, power distribution techniques and modern processors
  • Experience with lab bring up and design validation on products
  • Familiar with scripting languages for test development
  • Ability to interface with other disciplines, including software, mechanical and signal integrity
  • Demonstrated experience with shipping products
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Preferred experience with High-Speed Memory Interfaces (DDR3/DDR4/DDR5)
  • Preferred experience with High Speed I/O Interfaces (PCIE Gen4/5, CXL)
  • Experience with x86 architecture is preferred
