What You’ll Do
In this role you will support Cisco Mobile Packet Core, both hardware ASR5500 and Virtual Packet Core/Ultra Services Platform solutions.
You will tackle sophisticated issues in mobile networks - 2G/3G/4G/5G (GPRS/UMTS/LTE/NR) and applications (SGSN/GGSN/MME/S-GW/P-GW/SMF/UPF).
You will also have exposure to Linux systems, OpenStack, Virtualization technologies, NFV etc. while providing support to our customers across the globe.

Knowledge and Skills:
Basic to intermediate level of knowledge in Linux systems.
Knowledge about mobile networks - 2G/3G/4G/5G (GPRS/UMTS/LTE/NR) and specifically experience with Mobile Packet Core and mobile packet core applications (SGSN/GGSN/MME/S-GW/P-GW/CUPS/AMF/SMF/UPF)
Familiarity with Mobile Packet Core specific protocols like GTP, DIAMETER, RADIUS, PFCP SCTP, as well as related 3gpp specifications
IP networking - Routing and switching technologies (CCNP level)
Good understanding of security technologies, IPSec, SSL, VPNs
Communicate You have excellent communication skills (in English)
Bachelor or Master in Engineering, Computer Science or have similar experience.
We'll be very impressed if you can also show one of these:
Programming skills in bash, Python
Cisco Certifications - CCNA or CCNP or even CCIE
Certifications in virtualization technologies (Openstack, VMware, Kubernetes)
Advanced Linux, Unix system administration skills (Debian/Red Hat)
Linux system administration certifications (LPIC, RHCSA)
Database experience SQL, noSQL, Mongo, MySQL
Experience working with service provider customer base (especially mobile service providers)
Experience in a similar customer support role
