Technical Account Manager

 

We are currently seeking Technical Account Manager in Tokyo, Japan. This assignment is a highly visible and exciting role, responsible for providing Sales and technical support to the operator in the sale of their IOT offerings and Cisco Jasper Control Center or other products to the operator’s enterprise customers. 

Responsibilities:

·       Build and maintain strategic relationships with the heads of sales, sales engineering and sales operations at the Jasper operator partner

·       Evangelize and train Operator’s Sales Teams to deliver the market leading value proposition and demonstrate Control Center or other products that Cisco Jasper provides

·       Deliver best in class sales presentations and product demonstrations

·       Direct Sales engagement with key enterprise customers 

·       Support operator partner sales rep with their presentations, solution proposal and demonstrations to top tier prospective enterprise customers including C-level executives through highly technical levels

·       Train and provide ongoing support to Jasper operator partner sales engineering and operations teams to on-board new customers onto the Jasper platform

·       Capture new product requirements and provide detailed feedback to Jasper product team 

·       Assist Customers to migrate their existing Connected Devices to the Control Center

·       Organize quarterly training sessions to keep Jasper operator partner teams up to date on new features 

·       Interact proactively with the engineering and support teams to provide solutions to complex technical issues

·       Coach and mentor Operator’s sales teams and in identifying and developing new feature requirements that will help them grow their business and revenue 

Skills & Experience:

·       Bachelor of Science or equivalent - preferably in technical field or technical practical field experience

·       Strong knowledge in operator sales operations

·       Good experience in Business development and sales

·       Connected car knowledge is preferred

·       Advanced degree preferred! Additional business coursework in addition to technical coursework considered a plus

·       3-5 years of GSM/GPRS/LTE experience in a technical pre- and post-sales capacity 

·       Understanding of wireless solution design and knowledge of various module manufactures and product lines

·       Strong knowledge of GSM / GPRS radio and core network architecture, wireless device operation, basic switching and routing concepts, firewalls and active traffic management techniques and tools including NATing, caching and compression and basic network security background including VPN, SSL and IPSEC 

·       Ability to provide hands-on, on-site technical support

·       Strong analytical, communication, presentation and customer interfacing skills 

·       Experience in M2M (machine-to-machine) communications a plus

·       Experience with carrier channel management and carrier sell through models 

·       Must be able to work independently

·       Must be able to travel to operator 30%
