What You'll Do


We are looking for engineers to help us build and operate the next generation of cloud-delivered security services and deliver a stronger offering with outstanding customer experience. Our engineering team is composed of highly skilled individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced and technically exciting environment developing new cloud-delivered security services. Members are involved with all stages of the product development process from solving complex engineering problems to interfacing and working closely with key collaborators across the Cisco Security Business Group.


Who You'll Work With


This team designs build and operate both backend and frontend services and tools to enhance our observability and insights around Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) as part of a larger Cisco Cloud-Based Security solution.



Who You Are


  • You are passionate about developing cloud-native solutions.
  • You love working together as a team and have a desire to speak up, share ideas, and help members of the team.
  • You get motivated to experimenting with the latest technologies
  • You love introducing the team to new technologies, frameworks, and points of view.
    • You have 5 or more years of relevant work experience in building and operating a high-transactional, 24x7 production environment.
    • You value building interpersonal relationships and understand the importance of building and learning as a team. You have been a senior engineer or technical lead before and thrived in that role.
    • You have Familiarity running and facilitating Agile Methodology rituals and practices with knowledge and experience in Scrum or Kanban.
    • Experience implementing and leveraging tools towards automation, observability, and application performance measurement like DataDog, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus.
    • Experience with systems configuration management and designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines with Concourse, Jenkins or similar.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience using monitoring tools to identify problems.
    • Experience developing in Python and working with packages and dependencies in virtual environments.
    • 2 or more years of Terraform experience.
    • 2 or more years of Ansible experience or equivalent.
    • Strong grasp of Git development workflows and source code and configuration version management with a team.
    • Experience running customer facing production services in AWS using VPCs, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, ECS, CloudWatch, etc.
    • Shell scripts, file management, package management, daemons, systemd, logging and other systems administration are very familiar to you.
