What You’ll Do

We are looking for a pre-sales Systems Engineer, a customer-focused technical sales professional who will provide technical information and design/implementation guidance to our Service Provider customers in East Europe and Poland region in a dedicated and/or pooled manner. You, as the Systems Engineer (SE), will be providing an architectural perspective across the Cisco product portfolio in Service Provider Networking and/or Data Center areas, including software and services, demonstrating knowledge of the broad Cisco portfolio, as well as your technical specialization as needed.

You will collaborate with the Account Manager(s) and leverage additional resources (e.g. consulting specialists, demo labs, etc.) to recommend, develop and propose appropriate customer solutions and services offerings.

You will conduct technical presentations, showcase Cisco products and solutions, set up demonstrations and explain features and benefits to customers and act as a trusted advisor to the customer. In addition to having a solid technical background, including the ability to learn and keep up to date on technological advancements, you will need to demonstrate the ability of understanding customer's business problems, converting them to the technical context and defining and positioning Cisco products and solutions in the right way to best fulfil the customer expectations.

You will work with a wide variety of technologies and will therefore need strong team-working and consultative skills and capacities to effectively showcase Cisco products and solutions, demonstrate technical solutions and capabilities, conduct Proof-of-Concept (PoC) tests.

Your interpersonal, presentation and consulting skills evoke passion, energy, tenacity and confidence to work across all Cisco Products. You should possess and/or cultivate strong relationships with Cisco Business Units, and be able to navigate through Cisco's business groups (Services, Marketing, Architecture and Development Teams) effectively.

Who You'll Work With

Cisco Systems is looking for a pre-sales Systems Engineer to join our Service Provider East Europe and Poland sales team in Warsaw, Poland to support our business!

In this dynamic, customer focused role, you will partner directly with a Account Manager(s) and an extended team to position complex software and hardware solutions solving the business and technical problems of our customers. In that capacity you will be part of a multinational account teams serving the customers and you will rely on an extended network of Cisco services professionals and technical teams, with close support of your sales leadership.

Who You Are

You should possess and/or nurture strong Business Unit relationships and be able to navigate through Cisco's cross functional areas effectively. In addition to a technical capabilities and the ability to learn quickly as well as knowledge of current technology trends, your social, presentation and troubleshooting skills come as very important for this role! You should be familiar with how to successfully navigate a complex account and customer base.

To succeed in this role, presence on premise at the customer's sites primarily in Warsaw, Poland is required. The candidate should be comfortable working “hands-on" in a lab environment when necessary to configure customer demonstrations and proofs of concept. Regional travel is required.

Preferably you should bring:

  • Good understanding in one or more major Cisco Networking and/or Data Center solution areas
  • Interest in Service Provider technology areas
  • Capability to translate customer business needs and plans into technical solution designs
  • Experience with relevant Cisco equipment or equipment of relevant competitor
  • Demonstrating ability to work cross-functionally with multiple account sellers and Theatre/Field sales personnel
  • You have strong prioritization skills with proven track record of making things happen.
  • Fluency in Polish and English combined with an excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and strong presentation skills.
  • Very good interpersonal skills combined with capability of building trusting relationships internally and at our customers.
  • A high sense of ownership, coupled with a strong focus on achieving results.
  • Must be a self-starter effective in working independently and in a team setting
  • Technical pre-sales experience desired
  • Great teammate, willing to help others and prepared to ask for help when necessary.
  • Ability to travel in order to meet client demands required
