Cisco Major Accounts

Major Accounts includes Enterprise and Public-sector customers in Finland. Our extended team consists of experienced Account Managers, Architects and Engineers. Together with the team and Cisco partners we engage with customers to help aligning IT/OT with todays and tomorrows business needs through fit-for-purpose Networking, Security, Collaboration and Data Center & cloud solutions and services. 

Increasingly we find ourselves working as advisors on architecture level across the technology domains to help customers make balanced short and long-term architecture and design decisions. 

Systems Architect role

Our customers are in a tough spot where the complexity of their infrastructure is higher than ever and at the same time their Lines of Business expect new levels of capabilities, scale, quality and security in rapidly accelerating pace. Your job as the Systems Architect is to help them resolve their current complexity issue and excel with new capabilities driven by digital transformation and the convergence of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT).

Systems Architect is an integral member of Cisco Account team who understands customer’s business and IT environment and requirements within. Through customer insights and thorough understanding of Cisco portfolio she/he helps customers and partners to plan & architecture Next Generation automated and application driven IT-Infrastructures. 

Systems Architect works fluently across different technology domains (Networks, Collaboration, Data Center & Cloud, Security, IoT) and helps customers and partners to create multi-functional architectures and technological roadmaps.

What You’ll Do

o   Simplify complexity

o   Engage with customer's IT leadership, and increasingly business partners too, to:

o   Gather and refine requirements for IT road maps

o   Help them understand the linkage to IT infrastructure capabilities

o   Engage with customer's and Cisco partner's IT architects and experts to

o   Translate business requirements to IT capabilities

o   Identify and understand dependencies across technology domains

o   Collaborate in architecture and design

o   Work closely with Cisco Partners to help and enable customer to for taking advantage of new technologies

o   Actively follow technology trends in Cisco and industry forums to gain a position as a leader with a point of view

o   Build trusted meaningful relationships with selected customers and partners 

Required skills

o   In depth understanding of at least three of the following areas: Enterprise Networks, Security, Collaboration, Data Center, Orchestration, Cloud, Enterprise Architectures, Application strategies

o Strong understanding of collaboration solutions and customer workplace transformation is key differentiator

o   Experience in working with outsourcing, managed or cloud services provider 

o   Deep understanding of IT architecture frameworks and IT processes (formal training or certification e.g. TOGAF, ITIL is considered plus)

o   Curios for new ideas and technologies

o   Ability to position bold ideas and challenge customers with respectful and humble attitude

o   Good people and teaming skills

o   Healthy self-confidence which enables being the authentic You in any situation
