Systems Architects in Cisco are technical leads that advice and support Sales teams with pre-sales and deep technical knowledge.

The role of the Systems Architect at Cisco is to translate customer needs in to high-level solutions design, and bring new networking technologies to market.

You will get to work across a vast portfolio of Switching, Routing, Wireless LAN, Network Orchestration, Data Center, Collaboration, Video, Internet of Things and Security.

You will touch Cisco's enterprise technology solutions.

In this job, you will:

o   Translate customer requirements into high-level solutions designs.

o   You will work closely with customers to bring new technologies to market.

o   Liaise with the Business Units and Technical Marketing to understand our products, technologies and services.

o   Continuously help develop our solutions by providing feedback from the field.

o   Help our partners refine their go-to-market strategy and technical portfolio.

o   Prepare model RFP's and response to customer RFP's.

o   Conduct technical workshops for Customers, Partners and internal teams.

o   Understand competitor offerings and provide input to the sales team on product positioning and differentiation.

o   Represent Cisco on community forums and customer facing events.

o   Handle post-sales customer concerns and resolve issues, by coordinating and working with all internal and external stakeholders.

o   Use internal tools and programs to plan and deliver high quality demonstrations.

New demands on the network are calling for new solutions: SDN, Campus Fabric, SD-Access, SD-WAN, Fog Computing, secure networks that can sense and detect security threats and more importantly Network Programmability to address Orchestration, automation and insight needs of our customers.

We help customers understand how to use these state of the art networks and make it possible for them to achieve their business goals in ways they would never have envisioned.

Who You Are

o   You bring years of experience in pre-sales engineering or technical customer facing.

o   Personal interest for technical innovations.

o   You have BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline.

o   Preferably, have CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certifications.

o   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


o   Some knowledge of: Routing, Switching, Wireless, Data Centre, network orchestration, Collaboration technologies, Security, IOT, and Video.

o   Knowledge of Cisco products and Cisco certifications are preferred.

o   Programmability skills: REST, Python, Ruby, JAVA, C#…

Preferred skills and experience:

o   Experience with Big Data, PaaS, and IaaS technologies.

o   Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.

o   Adept at using initiative to apply technical solutions to complex sales opportunities.

o   Adept at customer interactions from the CIO through to technical staff.

o   Knowledge of sales cycle.

o   Impactful verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.

o   Great relationship building skills, tenacity, resilience.

o   Ability to work independently and remotely as well as with your team to accomplish objectives.


o   Ability to train and coach others in our enterprise technologies.
