What You'll Do
In this role, you will help craft the future of custom silicon components at Cisco by positively impacting the way we engage suppliers and collaborate with partners in engineering and operations for differentiated customer outcomes.
Global Supplier Management has responsibility for driving Supplier business strategies, capabilities, and sourcing development with a Cisco supplier. As a Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Commodity Manager, you will lead all commercial aspects – business strategies, goals, costs, performance, and contracts – of the partnership between Cisco and the Supplier.
You understand Cisco’s business needs and is the authoritative “one voice of Cisco” to the Supplier regarding business needs, requirements, expectations, and direction.
You'll investigate, influence, and source next-gen technology for business enablement.
You'll lead and coordinate roadmap discussion and engagement between Engineering and Suppliers, find solutions, build proposals, and execute to meet Business requirements, striking balance between supply continuity, cost, and delivery.
Drive best-in-class total costs of ownership through Productivity Goals, Negotiations, Reporting & Analytics.
Drive overall supplier operational and risk management performance through Negotiations, Executive Escalations / Resolutions, Scorecards, SIPs, Audits, BCP, Sustaining Financial Health, Quality, Material Management, Capacity, etc.
Own Contracts alignment with suppliers – Requirements, Negotiations, Compliance.
Who You'll Work With
You will work with a world-class team of Hardware and ASIC development engineering leaders and drive the Silicon Supply Chain strategy to enable Product Roadmaps.
You will collaborate with NPI Engineers, Mfg engineers & Operations professionals to setup, qualify, and operationalize the component supply chain to meet TTM and volume ramp needs.
You will influence executives at the CxO level and one layer below with our Supply Base.
You'll partner with Supply Chain functional leaders to optimize the Si supply chain and operations to meet key business metrics.

You have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills including written, verbal, and listening skills.

You have Advanced knowledge of sourcing practices and negotiations.
You have in-depth knowledge of industry & technology landscape in the silicon space.
Experience in chip development, process integration/engineering, customer-supplier management with silicon foundries and OSAT supplier eco-systems
Strong knowledge of supply chain management requirements at each phase of the development and manufacturing process cycle.
You are adept at influencing partner executives and are capable of influencing internal decision-makers to make decisions aligned with strategies and objectives benefiting the entire organization.
You have 10+ yrs experience in engaging with Foundries, OSAT & Substrate suppliers and understand the dynamics of the fabless ecosystem.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree in business/operations management/finance highly desirable.
