What You’ll Do:

The Strategic Customer Engagements Lead is a business development, sales and program management role passionate about successfully executing large and complex transformational pursuits with Cisco's most strategic customers.

  • You will be an integral part of the Cisco Asia Pacific Japan and China (APJC) Strategic Engagements Team and part of a global community within Cisco. You will also be part of Cisco's Services and Software Sales team in Australia.
  • You will work with directly with customers and with Cisco's account and specialist teams and with Cisco partners to identify and qualify opportunities. You will help prioritise and define these as targeted engagements.
  • You will therefore share accountability with account teams for financial performance to ensure profitability, return on investment and the viability of engagements.
  • You will meet with customer executives, partners and account teams to drive a deeper understanding of customer strategy and align success metrics, solutions and commercial models to strategy.
  • You will lead and take accountability for engagements in terms of the engagement strategy, 'agile' program management, workshop facilitation, orchestrating solution design, building business cases and commercial construction, proposal development, governance and quality assurance, partner engagement, executive presentations and negotiation.
  • You will therefore partner closely with Cisco business leaders, product and services teams and legal and finance teams.
  • You will have a front seat for experiencing Cisco's incredible technology innovation and helping deliver the best that Cisco has to offer to our customers.

Who You Are

  • You are successful and motivated. You have strong leadership credentials and experience.
  • You may have had experience as a sales or services leader or as a strategist in the technology sector. You may have been a senior consultant in a technology domain at a leading consulting firm.
  • You possess a combination of deep business/commercial acumen and an appreciation of technology as a (business) enabler.
  • You stay abreast of technology innovation and transitions and you are quick to learn and adopt new technology (where it makes sense).
  • You have a track record and a passion for pursuing the biggest opportunities and tackling the most complex challenges. You get a thrill from seeing difficult things get done and done well; from reaching new heights and setting new benchmarks.
  • You are extremely focused yet you are also adaptable and comfortable in a fast paced environment. You have an agile attitude.
  • You have executive presence and you're a confident communicator and negotiator.
