What We Do

Cisco’s Cloud and Network Security (CNS) organization is one of our fast-growing business units focused on evolving the networking and security landscape and leading the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) movement. The Chief Strategy Office within Cloud and Network Security is focused on the vision and longer-term planning for our organization. The Chief Strategy Office consists of experts and leaders across business strategy, product strategy, technology, UX, and data science and works collaboratively with various teams across the Cloud Security business.

What You’ll Do

Do you like combining both your creative and analytical abilities to tackle sophisticated problems? The Chief Strategy Office within Cisco’s Cloud and Network Security business unit is looking to hire a Senior Manager. As a Senior Manager in our Chief Strategy Office, you will partner with UX, Product Strategy and Technology leaders within the team as well as leaders across the business to help guide our M&A Strategy.

As one of the key groups within the Chief Strategy Office, the Business Development Organization will be responsible for:

  • Developing a build, buy, partner framework to help guide the M&A Strategy for Cisco’s Cloud & Network Security business
  • Maintaining our M&A Pipeline of potential targets for acquisitions alongside key activities
  • Standing up strategic partnerships and measuring their success
  • Developing financial models in close partnership with leaders across the Security Business Group and Corporate Development to evaluate specific targets
  • Developing a point of view on our driven positioning

As a Senior Manager leading this team, you’ll mentor talented individual contributors in a highly varied and dynamic environment.

Who You Are

Someone that brings:

  • Significant experience and deep understanding of SaaS businesses, pitfalls, and standard methodologies
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure effective decision making
  • Highly analytical thinking and an ability to solve complex problems
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills – extensive experience with presenting data-supported business cases top executives
  • Fun, highly upbeat personality; great teammate that works well in collaborative situations

Professional Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a people leader with a strong record of impactful results
  • Several years of experience in a premier consulting firm, corporate strategy function, or similar
  • Experience leading an M&A function
  • Knowledge of Cisco’s portfolio and business a strong plus
  • MBA degree from a world class institution
  • Quantitative undergraduate degree (e.g. business, finance, economics, science, engineering, or a related field)
