We are looking for an IT Analyst in Cisco Financial Performance Management IT organization who can help transform Cisco’s Financial and Management Reporting by:

 

  • Translating complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions while assessing what can be configured/bought and what should be custom developed
  • Partnering with business to find opportunities for process improvement and efficiency, measure KPIs to create compelling user stories, make data-driven recommendations, and drive system automations.
  • Collaborating and mentoring both onshore and offshore teams as well as vendor partners
  • Having strong communication skillset along with ability to solve critical issues across multiple business teams and drive issues to resolution
  • Demonstrating a strong technical aptitude, and understand both business and technical language and ideas
  • Bringing Industry and outside in perspectives on how we can shape solutions

Who You Are

The ideal candidate should be comfortable in an individual, self-driven role, as well as in a team environment. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with having an awareness of current standards and trends in IT and emerging technologies

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Work with Finance business partners & IT to determine objectives that will improve business outcomes and user experience for Corporate FP&A and various finance users
  • Be responsible for analyzing all scope items that come through the scope intake process for a certain business capability and describe those to IT teams on release complexity, environment readiness, test plan, etc.
  • Be accountable for leading cross-functional dialogues to solve complex business capabilities required and making sure there is no misunderstanding or misalignment among various teams on the system requirements
  • Design IT solutions and work with IT engineers to build and implement the designed solutions
  • Fix and debug IT systems to ensure error-free functionality and end-user experience
  • Provide supervision to support Quality Assurance team during release testing; provide support for the end users queries as needed
  • Handle various tasks to deadlines; communicate progress at regular intervals

Key Skills Required:

  • 9+ years of IT industry experience
  • Masters/Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology
  • Experience in agile delivery model
  • Experience in Data Analytical skills & Articulation, Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, Hyperion Essbase etc.)
  • Well-versed with RDBMS Concept and exposure to various RDBMS technologies like Oracle, Teradata and PostgreSQL
  • Working experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Domain knowledge in Corporate Finance, Management Reporting, Data & Analytics is preferred
  • Ability to explain complex, highly technical information to non-technical colleagues/users using clear, simple language
  • Organized verbal and written business communication that effectively achieves business objectives
  • Utilize specific business knowledge and general business acumen to support effective IT engagement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork and partner management
  • Jointly work with development team and business to drive support case reduction
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Self-driven, results oriented and passionate in delivering business value
