What You'll Do

Cisco Global Supplier Management (GSM) seeks a Sourcing Commodity Manager to work within the Specialty Technology group who is responsible for architecting and leading Cisco's Audio Visual Collaboration technology supply base for the Collaboration business globally. Join us in the development of industry-leading Collaboration commodity strategies, and technology road mapping and in representing Global Supply Management with the best marketing, engineering, and operations teams in the world.

Responsibilities include

  • Primary contact and focal point to the Business Units to address all sourcing and supplier NPI management issues for the technologies assigned.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit partners to understand the long-term requirements, mapping requirements into supply base offerings.
  • You will lead and orchestrate the roadmap reviews between engineering and suppliers, find solutions, build proposals, and implement them to meet business requirements, striking a balance between supply continuity, cost, and delivery.
  • Acts as an advocate for the Business Units to shape and evolve commodity strategy.
  • Responsible for negotiating and implementing sourcing decisions, risk assessment/mitigation and alternate technical solution development.
  • Oversees large, complex programs consisting of multiple locations and Business Units.

  • A Self-starter, that can independently resolve large-scale project issues and manage appropriate partner concerns as necessary.
  • Good engineering background or qualifications: works comfortably with engineers (essential)
  • Prior experience in the areas of Camera and/ or Audio Technologies (helpful)
  • Prior Commodity Management, Procurement Engineering experience (advantageous)
  • You have business experience, technical knowledge, and people skills, aren’t intimidated by titles, and can work with people toward a shared goal.
  • You’re an innovator and you love technology.
  • You'll use your ability to influence, both inside and outside Cisco, to make sure we implement our strategy.
  • Your top negotiation skills are used daily so that Cisco is competitive in the marketplace and our customers love our products.
  • Brings a blend of commercial acumen with engineering problem-solving

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
