What You'll Do

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer based in Hanoi, Vietnam to join our dynamic sales team. As an SE, you will drive the adoption of our Cloud & AI solutions across various industries. You will identify potential clients, understand their specific needs, and provide tailored solutions that enhance their business operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Data Center & AI technologies and experience relaying technical concepts to a diverse audience.

Who You Are

You will act as a link between technical teams, account teams, executives, partners/customers. In addition, you will show case Cloud & AI solutions/products, its potential and promote its tactical and technical responsibilities.

You will play an important role in the design, development and promotion of AI Solutions and address challenges. You play a critical role in enabling Cisco to take Data Center Virtualization Solutions to market in areas of Network & IT Infrastructure and Public/Private/Hybrid DC Cloud Solutions. You will be working closely with Cisco Account Team across all customer segments (Tier-1 Enterprises, Government Agencies, and Service Providers)  to develop and drive growth of DC business. The role will invariably include working on incubating, nurturing Transformational technical Pre-Sales in customer journeys.

You have strong experience in the following primary responsibilities that make-up the role:

o   Engagement with the business & technical decision makers within the Accounts with identified Data Center opportunities of Networking, Compute, Storage, Automation, and Applications.

o   Be on the forefront of understanding and being able to communicate Cisco’s Strategy and Vision in new technology directions.

o   Pre-sales design, install, implement Data Center and Virtualization Solutions in areas of Network & IT Infrastructure and Public/Private/Hybric DC Cloud Solutions, including AI Infrastructure stacks.

o   Work closely with Cisco Account Teams across all customer segments (Tier-1 Enterprise, Government Agencies, and Service Providers) to develop design and build new project engagement opportunities for DC business in Vietnam and across ASEAN.

o   Familiarity with UCS-X/C Compute and Nexus platforms, including the use of Nexus Dashboard and Intersight in customer PoC & Cloud showcase.

o   Demonstrate ability to use test tools – ie Spirent STC, Clock sync. Use test tools & measurement tester to carry out test points like failover tests, latency, scalability.

o   Understand and able to document test plans. Minimum CCNA certification.

o   Articulate and positioning business value of Cisco innovative DC architecture solutions to meet customer requirements.

o   Developing bill of materials that reflect the underlying Architectural solutions.

o   Contributing to the Cisco response for RFI, RFP and RFQ documents that are issued by customers.

o   Trusted advisor and a leader for Data Center technology direction and innovation Articulate and positioning business value of Cisco innovative DC architecture solutions to meet customer requirements

You will collaborate with the Sales team to shape/drive top priorities and core initiatives focused on long-range growth and profitability within country.

Who You Are

Product Sales Specialists will be responsible for gaining market penetration with the associated solutions as well as establishing a breadth of reference accounts in a variety of verticals.

You have at least 5 years experience as a Networking / Compute Specialist or pre-sales Technical / Product Management with Data Center or Cloud Solution vendors or equivalent experience in other related roles.

You can demonstrate strong pre-Sales skills and experience in both Data Center infrastructure and Cloud-Solution/Automation technology area:

A. DC Architecture skills and experience (in at least 5 areas)

o   DC Networking designs – SDN, Software Ops management

o   DC Secure infrastructure systems

o   AI infrastructure network systems

o   Virtualization, storage and data management systems

o   Intel x86 Compute / Nvidia GPU hardware

o   Private / Hybrid cloud / Big Data deployment

o   Understanding Enterprise applications and/or Development environments

B. Pre-sales skills and experience

o   Good communicator

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
