What You'll Do 
The People & Communities - People Experience Team has an opening for a Data/Reporting Analyst within the Digital Experience - Workforce Data & Analytics Service, with a specific focus on Transformational Metrics/Analytics and the overall P&C Data Architecture. The DX Data & Analytics Service provides a comprehensive framework for the definition, governance, quality, integrity, maintenance, security, and distribution of Workforce Information throughout the Enterprise. The role and its responsibilities will span the four major service offerings within the overall Service: P&C Data Integrity, P&C Data Capture and Storage, P&C Data Protection, and P&C Metrics and Distribution. The Data Analyst will perform a variety of functions with the Service focused on the overall Service goal of providing relevant, reliable talent data and analytics in a secure, compliant, and efficient manner. The role interfaces with a variety of audiences and data consumers, including P&C leaders and broader Cisco Functional leaders to support decisions and drive actions. Data Analysts within the Data & Analytics Service are expected to understand and participate in the full spectrum of Service offerings, from data definition through integration, analysis and distribution, and will be expected to participate in all aspects of the Service offerings when and where needed: 

  • Roles/titles within the team reflect the primary responsibility and expertise of team members, but cross-training and flexible contributions are a key expectation and strategy of the success of the Service 

  • The candidate will be expected to understand the value proposition of the collective offerings of the Data & Analytics Service, be able to articulate the value and represent the Service in various settings, assist in assessing overall service health, and contribute directly to continuous improvement in the quality and breadth of the Service offerings 

  • The candidate will develop and leverage a solid understanding of Cisco's business goals and objectives to correlate Workforce Information to Cisco operations, interpret and explain variances, and communicate results in the context of the various Cisco business models 

  • The Data Analyst will perform ongoing data and analytics activities in support of self-service, on-demand and ad-hoc Workforce Information consumption 

  • The Data Analyst will participate in project/program teams on behalf of the Data & Analytics Service to drive data and reporting requirements definition, and ensure delivery of data and analytics to satisfy these requirements and ensure overall program/project success 

Who You Are 

  • Strong to advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and delivery 

  • Knowledge of databases and ability to execute queries against the data 

  • Ability to help stakeholders identify and define data and analytics requirements in business terms 

  • Identify opportunities for service improvement (optimization, automation, innovation) 

  • Formulate conclusions and provide summary analysis and interpretation of data 

  • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions 

Our Minimum Qualifications For This Role Are: 

  • Requires BS/BA 

  • At least 3 years of data/metrics/analytics experience or equivalent experience in roles of increasing complexity/scope 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and communicate the meaning of measures and metrics 

  • The position requires process, and problem solving skills, organizational skills, technical acumen, and communications skills 

  • Results and deliverables oriented with the ability to effectively take direction and self-manage 

  • Good communication skills and presentation skills, along with the ability leverage data and analytics to influence decisions
