WHO YOU'LL WORK WITHYou will be part of the networking team developing protocols software or working on the application for network config automation. This is for enterprise networking deployments. 
WHAT YOU'LL DOCisco is seeking a motivated software engineer with strong background in software architecture, design and implement of Embedded and/or Full Stack solutions. . This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong technical skills to put their abilities to work in an exciting growth environment.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with other SW and HW Engineers to develop and support protocols- Design, and determine product direction.- Represent your team with other Cisco departments, customers, and industry.- Author product and project specifications.- Partner with Management Team in defining and planning projects.- Take a lead role in Cisco¹s Patent Program.- Ability to apply advanced networking principles, theories and concepts.
WHO YOU ARE- Ability to solve sophisticated networking problems- Ability to influence the development of industry wide standards.- Exercises good judgement resolving how to best achieve technical objectives of assignment.- Creative problem solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills- Excellent teamwork and communication skills- Programming experience (C, C++ ), script languages (Python). Java is highly desirable too- Familiarity with Unix/Linux- Experience working on embedded systems- Working on application development is a plus- Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols (ex: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP)Master’s degree or Bsc with 5+ years of proven experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related major

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Share
