As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on our Risk & Compliance Team, you will be proactive in identifying and remediating risk in our architecture and helping ensure we meet our compliance objectives. This team leads with national and international regulatory and compliance initiatives as we expand globally. We significantly contribute to Duo architecture, collaborating with a wide range of internal partners to engineer automated solutions in an effort to remove toil and enhance our security, infrastructure, and reliability.

Please Note: The successful applicant will be performing work in FedRAMP High or IL-5 environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.

Skills you have….

  • Sharp focus and planning for work on or beyond a full quarter-time horizon

  • A proven record of planning, designing, and owning technical solutions with broad, sophisticated requirements using an insightful and strategic approach

  • Superior communication to describe, analyze, and convince others about major technical tradeoffs and decisions, obtaining consensus on solutions

  • Shown experience working across teams and with other managers to spec out high-level designs for platform improvements

  • History of writing performant, maintainable, testable code, a commitment to modern software testing practices and a passion for automation and reducing toil

  • A desire to initiate and facilitate meaningful conversations around complex problems

  • Persuasive abilities to motivate and empower your team members to achieve a higher level of performance

  • A curious nature and dedication for gathering information and resources for your team

Even better if you have….

  • Experience supporting Compliance and regulatory initiatives (such as FEDRAMP and SOC2), preferably in a SaaS environment

  • Automated configuration experience with such tools as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet & Chef

  • Cloud services deployment, monitoring, alerting and issue escalations experience

  • Experience crafting solutions with tools like Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, MySQL, Python, AWS, Docker, and/or Kafka
