Cisco’s Workforce Experience Design team is on a mission to build the best work experience, leading with human-centered design, to build an engaged and productive environment for all Cisconians. We strive to enable every employee to be at their best every day, from removing the barriers to collaboration to discovering new connections and communities. We are a global leader in technology, networking, and innovation, and we believe that helping our customers and partners begins with helping ourselves!

As a Senior Visual Designer in our newly formed design team, you’ll play a key role in establishing our visual identity through a consistent, sophisticated and engaging look and feel. You’ll establish connections and partnerships with other design groups across Cisco, but find a unique way to visually communicate the Workforce Experience story. You’ll mentor and lead other visual designers in their craft, and engage cross-functional groups of stakeholders to solve complex problems at the enterprise scale.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing a look and feel that works within the Cisco brand, yet feels unique to Workforce Experience and Workforce Experience Design
  • Creating logos and branding materials for presentations, packaging, and other marketing materials
  • Working with UX designers and researchers to create usable, delightful experiences that utilizes available design system components
  • Advocating for accessibility and inclusive design principles
  • Clearly and effectively presenting work to both client and internal teams, and advocating for the value of visual design in the product design process
  • Working with developers to ensure faithful implementation of your work

We are seeking a team member who has:

  • Minimum 8 years experience as a visual, UI, or graphic designer (or related field)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent design-related field
  • A portfolio of visual work that showcases the breadth of your expertise
  • Attention to detail and experience working with developers to create pixel-perfect experiences, but maintains the ability to “zoom out” and see the bigger picture in the visual landscape
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity to drive the design cycle and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating inspiring 'north star' design concepts that inform the future vision for a digital product
  • Experience in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Illustrator, InVision and AdobeXD, and Figma

Why Cisco

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.

We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re “old” (36 years strong) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can’t put us in a box!

But “Digital Transformation” is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)

Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, give our egos a break, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, bold steps, and take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a dedication to equality for all, there is no moving forward.

So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us!
