We are on a mission and hungry to hire an A+ Product Design leader who can:

  • Champion user feedback processes that advise near-term and longer term design plans.
  • Build outstanding user experiences that increase customer satisfaction across the user base.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gain a deep understanding of partner requirements and perspectives to then shape design innovation, development, and delivery.
  • Continuously have a pulse on needs of customers, partners, and sellers so you can help advise and influence design direction.
  • Drive the design work for the short-term and long-term contact center platform roadmap.
  • Operate within an Agile development model to launch capabilities that meet business and partner needs.
  • Partner with Cisco marketing, branding, and other UX teams across Cisco to rationale various user experiences and collaborate to best demonstrate the assets within the company as well as standard methodologies in the design community.
  • Work closely with product, program, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on execution of the roadmap and manage dependencies across the company.
  • Mentor and guide junior UX designers in project decisions and delivery.
  • You are an experience UX designer with well rounded skills in both interaction and visual design as well as people leadership. You have strong empathy with the needs of users across different personas and know how to employ user-centered design to develop the best outcomes for customers, partners, and the business. A strategic problem solver with experience in establishing design systems and frameworks that provide consistency or efficiency in execution of design practices.
  • 6+ years leading design experience teams responsible for building and delivering software products
  • Customer centric design approach and with the skills to build holistic and cohesive user experiences.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping, user research, prototyping, problem statement analysis, competitive analysis, and wireframing.
  • Natural leader who can guide team members and work with other UX colleagues to deliver efficient results.
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies (i.e., JavaScript, HTML/CSS, responsive web design)
  • Proven experience in design interface and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, Abobe Creative Suite, or Balsamiq
  • Experience with Agile methodology and working with scrum teams to provide detailed design specs included in sprint deliverables.
  • Ability to work within different constraints to find the best-in-class design solutions that deliver products in an iterative approach.
  • Flexible mindset in providing various design solutions, obtaining feedback, and coordinating with others to meet timelines or specific business needs.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to confidently share design vision and lead design conversations with internal/external audiences in a compelling manner.
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal partners across all levels of the organization and keep them informed on key decisions and progress.
  • Self-starter with strong decision-making, prioritization, and problem solving skills.


  • You will be the leader for the UX Design team supporting the entire business unit, across multiple platforms, providing product design leadership to the broader design team.
  • You will devise and communicate top-level objectives and measures of success to guide your teams, challenge them, and hold them accountable. By doing this right, they will love you for it.
  • You will partner with Engineering Management to execute well-studied and researched requirements in a roadmap for your engineers to deliver.
  • You will bring the market requirements, and your engineering partner will bring the technical reality; the result will be a balanced, pragmatic, and aggressive plan of attack that inspires the market and scares our competitors.
  • You will make decisions about the customer needs and what they need first; you will consider the myriad of opportunities and constraints and collaborate with others to come up with the best business plan possible for executing the strategy.
  • You will participate in as few meetings as possible; the meetings you or your team do engage in will be purposeful and results-oriented. You will be jealous of yours and your team’s time and focus and will treat it with the sanctity it deserves.
  • You will not let your market intelligence atrophy. Not only will getting your hands dirty to gathering market research, but you’ll get to plan out a very clear why and what which will endear you to your team and the engineers you partner generating confidence and success.
  • You will deliver high-value business plans for your software products and will strive to cultivate of culture of continuous flow of high value product requirements to the engineers.
  • You will automatically think about non-functional requirements and hold yourself to a high bar to deliver trustworthy software, high scalability, and sustainability so your engineers can focus on replaceability.
  • You will want to shout it from the rooftops how cool and interesting your products are but know when and how to communicate to internal teams, partners, customers and even the Analyst.


  • You will be part of an innovative experience design team responsible for reimagining the way customers and partners interact with Cisco. Our team develops forward-looking applications, solutions, and services across multiple innovative platforms for admins, end users, supervisors, and end-customers.
  • You will engage with the broader community inside and outside Cisco. As a design leader and you will constantly look for ways to build relationships and partnerships that help you recruit and optimize your ability to deliver value.
