Have you ever wanted to be a critical part of a high-profile, strategic, large-scale technology and business transformation? Here's your chance.
Cisco is undergoing a substantial business evolution, converging major parts of its products and platforms to meet the customer demand for 'Cloud-ready' and 'as-a-Service' capabilities. Cisco's broad portfolio has always addressed the complexities that exist in today’s world of rapid digitization, and together we can take that portfolio to the next level. Cisco is evolving to make it easier for customers and partners to consume our platforms.
The Cisco Platform Suite is a movement to tie together Cisco's diverse and powerful software platforms in a way that provides unprecedented and outstanding capabilities and power to Cisco's customer base. Cisco needs a highly qualified product and program manager to help drive this transformation.
What You'll Do
Based on industry and primary research, you will define user stories, use cases, and technical specifications, and then arrange, facilitate, and coordinate meetings, workshops, sprints, and brainstorming sessions. Working closely with engineering teams and go-to-market organizations across Cisco, you will build trust with all the teams and provide a bridge of expertise between them, jointly developing requirements, recommendations, and specifications for platforms to improve integration, and drive this work into the roadmaps of our peer organizations.
Senior executives have a vested interest in moving quickly to deploy Platform Suite, so there will be a lot of attention on your documents, timelines, and dashboards showing up-to-date information in this dynamic environment. You will need to react quickly to shifting priorities among the different peer organizations with and develop contingency plans and recommendations. Leaders at all levels will make decisions based on your creative and complete reporting of sophisticated and nuanced information.
You will follow up on commitments made by each team and optimize day-to-day operations to meet our goal of standardization of core elements across Cisco’s platforms.
In addition to developing standards and achieving consensus, you will specify and drive development of prototype systems to execute proof-of-value demonstrations of those developed standards.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Director responsible for the execution of Platform Suite strategy across Cisco. In your role, you will work very closely with that leader and the Vice President of Business Evolution and Cross Company Readiness.
Your pivotal role will span the breadth of Cisco's Engineering, Customer Experience, and go-to-market teams, touching the product lines of Enterprise Networking, Cloud, Security, Collaboration, and more, working with engineering specialists, product managers, general managers, and developer teams.
You will collaborate with industry-leading, outspoken people, including technical and business leaders, and use your outstanding listening skills to synthesize ideas into innovative approaches to hard problems.
Who You Are
You have led large-scale multi-party innovation initiatives with diverse partner organizations who have goals that do not readily align. You build consensus and inspire trust, with clear, concise documentation that all parties rely on as authoritative. You embrace ambiguity, get energized by building alignment, and have a record of breaking through resistance.
You have direct experience in companies or initiatives that have pulled together disparate products or services into a common experience for customers.
You are an organized, process-centric person with a consistent record of leading projects/programs spanning multiple organizations. You are a forward-thinking individual who thrives on crafting structure out of loosely coupled activities.
Ideally, you have familiarity with Cisco's business and product lines and how they come together in complex environments.

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re “old” (36 years strong) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can’t put us in a box!
But “Digital Transformation” is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)
Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, give our egos a break, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, bold steps, and take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a dedication to equality for all, there is no moving forward.
So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us!
