As a key player in this journey, focus on technology leadership for customers across the security landscape covering the whole portfolio of products from Cisco. Your Impact

You will drive the transformation of digital and security landscapes for our top customers across industries. In this role, you’ll consult, audit, design, lead implementations, and where needed optimize cutting-edge security solutions within the Cisco portfolio. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address diverse cybersecurity challenges, protect critical assets, and support customers in achieving resilience and compliance. Engage with dynamic industries, influence security strategies, and tackle global threats. Solution Design & Delivery

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive security solutions, including firewalls, endpoint protection, Zero Trust, secure access, and threat intelligence platforms, tailored to customer needs.
  • Lead architectural discussions and workshops with clients to align solutions with their business and technical objectives & Build high-level and detailed design documents, implementation plans, and deployment playbooks for security technologies.

Customer Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with CXO-level customers, acting as a trusted advisor on security strategy and architecture.
  • Drive conversations with industry leaders to position Cisco as the preferred security partner & represent Cisco at industry forums, conferences, and roundtables to share insights and demonstrate Cisco’s technology leadership.

Technical Leadership

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers, including sales, product, and engineering teams, to define and drive security solutions & provide technical escalation support for complex implementations and troubleshooting issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats, industry trends, and Cisco’s evolving security portfolio to deliver innovative solutions.

Professional Services Enablement

  • Mentor and train delivery engineers, ensuring alignment with Cisco’s methodologies and security frameworks.
  • Support RFPs/RFIs, effort estimation, and proposal creation for professional services engagements & Develop reusable templates, tools, and frameworks to improve delivery efficiency and standardization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a customer-facing solutions architect role.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco’s security portfolio, including Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD/ASA), Secure Endpoint (AMP), Duo, Umbrella, ISE, SecureX, Tetration, and Stealthwatch, SSE, etc
  • Zero Trust architectures, SASE, VPNs, threat detection, incident response, and compliance standards (GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, and hybrid infrastructure, excellent communication and social skills to engage with diverse customer and internal stakeholders, including CXOs.
  • Consistent track record to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on customer success.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead in cross-functional, multi-level engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCIE Security, CISSP, CISM, or AWS/Azure Security Specialty

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
