Cisco’s Enterprise Switching & SPA business is seeking a senior software product manager to join the Segmentation Policy & Access (SPA) team to help drive development and adoption of Identity Services Engine (ISE) and NACaaS products. The product leader will be able to combine business acumen with operations and transformation expertise to become a key business partner and trusted advisor to the product leadership team.


This is an exciting and high impact position to drive software innovations in enterprise networking business unit.  The ideal candidate will possess a broad understanding of software security products and product management and will also be able to communicate effectively with leadership and senior executives across multiple functions. Data driven, system savvy, intellectually curious, a fast learner, detail oriented and able to move quickly while keeping focused on high impact projects with limited direction and supervision. To sum it up, the leader is a self-starter who can tactically execute, while critically thinking through strategic issues. What You’ll do

  • You have demonstrated experience in portfolio management for a product category
  • Oversee the product throughout its life cycle, including ideation, prototyping, user research, design, launch, iteration, and end-of-life decisions
  • You have an ability to drive business success and user engagement
  • Lead / collaborate with different functional and vertical entities to develop and execute next-generation licensing and operational programs
  • Be the owner of developing pricing strategies and business cases that straddle run business and transformation
  • Drive product launches to meet release goals and ensure cross-functional teams have appropriate understanding, are aligned, are prepared and plans in place to execute and monitor outcomes
  • Work with Product Marketing to develop messaging and positioning that explain technical and business value in simple, understandable terms
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco and competitor software technologies and industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence actions of team members outside of the function
  • Strategic and creative thinker with strong business insight
  • Ability to lead, create and execute within cross-functional team environments


Who You Are

  • 8+ years of relevant experience including Operations, Product management, Software Security or Strategy roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Network Security, Enterprise Networking, Data Center Networking, Cloud, SaaS
  • Has the ability to collaborate, lead and work under pressure in a fast-paced matrix organization
  • Has a bias towards taking action, learning from customers, measuring success and iterating to improve
  • Has proven ability to think Customer-first; a successful track record in building strategies and solutions to meet customer needs
  • Ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from senior management.
  • Possesses business acumen, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong listening skills and an ability to speak in front of senior audiences as well as write clearly, concisely, and compellingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and provide practical business insights from complex data sets.
  • Education: Bachelors in EE or CS, or have equivalent work experience with a Master’s degree (MBA Preferred).
