Security Data Management Leader 

Become part Cisco's innovative Security Engineering team whose mission is to build best–in-class centralized security services to drive posture improvements across Cisco’s Products, Services and OperationsOur services span across control visibility, crypto, compliance & workflow and vulnerability management.  The Data Management team is a new emerging team aimed at building out a common platform and common components to support analytics, evidence, and reporting to enable Security Engineering’s services.   
What You'll Do 

You will lead the data management team, partnering with peer groups in Security Engineering, Security & Trust Organization, IT, Supply Chain and others to build out a layer of common components to enable a central data platform that connects data across the organizations to provide the insights be it for vulnerability triage or configurations drifts or simply evidence tracking for compliance audits. The priorities in this area will be around leveraging appropriate SaaS offerings to provide representation of data in a normalized graph database, with an API-first design, integrated with on-prem and cloud data sources.  The system will ultimately be integrated with a centralized ticketing engine and workflow systems to enable timely response to security events and drive operational excellence.

Who You'll Work With 

In this role you will lead the data and software engineers on the data management team.  You will also work with technical leads, product owners and functional leads across Security Engineering and S&TO to both understand their needs and influence adoption.  You will partner across multiple Cisco functions to draw on data that supports decision support for Security & Trust be it user data, applications or service catalog, attribution, security findings that offers intelligence for timely actions. We and the teams we enable operate in a fast-paced, agile, development environment.  We leverage the power of continuous integration and deployment, automate solid engineering conventions, and embrace the Cisco culture.

Qualified candidates should possess: 

5+ years of technical management experience. 

Knowledge and experience with data architecture and large-scale data management 

•Experience with a variety of database technologies including graph-based vs. relational. 

Experience working and leading technical teams, with clear understanding of software development practices. 

Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying business initiatives across organizational functions with a strong focus on results 

Demonstrated ability to communicate with different audiences (staff to senior executives) and for different purposes (informational to persuasive) 

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to a successful outcome regardless of reporting structure and organizational level 

Ability to develop strategic goals and monitor, track and report progress.
