What You’ll Do

You'll help us bring innovation to life by developing, implementing, and verifying advanced High-Speed analog driver circuits including definition of architectural requirements. The High-Speed Optics Team seeks a highly motivated Design Engineer with strong background in Analog / Mixed-Signal Design to develop High-Speed analog frond ends to be embedded in our high-end optical transmission and routing product hardware including advanced 40Gbps, 100Gbps and 400Gbps transponders for Metropolitan, Regional and Long Haul optical DWDM systems.

The next generation platform is in the creation phase. As experienced Analog / Mixed Signal Design Engineer you will grow the team’s ability to develop high-end components. This is a great opportunity to define, design and shape a leading-edge product in the service provider space from the beginning.

Who You'll Work With

Our team works with customers defining and developing advanced optical transmission products for Cisco's transport, routing and switching platform portfolio. The High-Speed Optics team is responsible for design, integration and validation of line-side coherent DWDM electro-optical interfaces. You have a unique opportunity to join this highly innovative and diligent engineering team and push the envelope for the next generation of high performing optical transmission systems.

Who You Are

You've got strong experience designing, implementing, and characterizing High-Speed Analog Driver Circuits. This includes a solid knowledge about fundamentals of circuits, transmission lines and microwave theory. You’re familiar in Cadence design flow with strong knowledge and understanding of layout. You’ve got a proven track record of putting leading edge, high performance high frequency analog designs into volume production and proficient working with various technologies including CMOS, SiGe BiCMOS, III-V technologies. You have good analytic and decision-making skills. Your strong communication skills help you influence others.

Our minimum requirements for this role

  • Master degree in electrical engineering
  • More than 5 years Analog / Mixed Signal Design experience
  • Fundamentals in Analog driver architectures
  • Knowledge about ESD protection of HF chips
  • Basic knowledge in optical transmission theory and photonic design is of advantage
