Datacenter Group. We are looking for experienced senior technical leaders who strive in

a dynamic start up like environment. You will be part of an expert team working on

next generation data center products that enable large scale low-latency networking

and storage IO virtualization.

What You'll Do

Primary job responsibilities include the design, development, debugging and testing of

BIOS software for Cisco UCS servers. Participate in product development in all stages

from planning and design to development and testing. Good candidates should be

proactive in managing work including meeting schedules, identifying risks, and

delivering high quality Firmware. Candidate will be part of a forward-thinking engineering team

that has an open communication, empowerment, teamwork, innovation and customer

success culture.

Collaborate with business and technical partners to clearly understand business

objectives, customer needs, and product requirements.

Write functional specifications detailing required functionality and all other important

(design, unit test, Interface specs, etc.) documentation.

Study industry specifications, vendor's hardware documentation, then implement

supporting BIOS into existing code bases

Implement silicon support in our platform BIOS. Integrate silicon vendor's reference

code.

Participation in code review, code analysis, requirements analysis, risk analysis, code

profiling and tuning.

Responsible for the ownership of BIOS modules.

Ownership of platform BIOS through the platform lifecycle from bring up through

sustenance.

Developing a working relationship with all partners (Program mgmt, validation,

Tech marketing, interface design teams, etc) in defining work schedule, design,

interface, execution in a matrix organization.

Debug and tackle real world BIOS, OS, Hardware and Device driver issues.

Who You Are

6+ years of strong BIOS/UEFI/Embedded background.

6+ years of experience with C programming language with x86 Assembly language.

6+ years of experience with implement silicon support and platform BIOS porting.

Sound understanding of System Architecture and Operating Systems concepts.

Highly required Skills/Experience:

Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with Debug BIOS, OS, hardware, and driver issues.

Experience with AMI Aptio BIOS.

Experience in Server and Storage Domains

Knowledge of Tiano based BIOS.

Knowledge of PC hardware and operating systems.

Knowledge Industry specs like ACPI/PCIE/SCSI/SAS/I2C/IPMI/SMBIOS etc.

Deep knowledge of Linux OS behaviors.

Deep knowledge of Windows OS behaviors.

Understanding of Networking.

Remote manageability knowledge.

Understanding of advanced software engineering processes and methodologies.
