Mission:
As the sole, high-performing, hands-on DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer, you will be driving the practices required to support critical customer-facing platforms, ensuring high uptime and driving continuous improvement and innovation. You will also play a crucial role in supporting our ISO 2700 and SOC II compliance initiatives, which includes new areas of focus such as the development and execution of server backup and disaster recovery plans, as well as planning and executing effective response to incidents.

Intro:
You are a DevOps/SR Engineer with extensive experience in maintaining a rapidly expanding infrastructure, server backup, and disaster recovery. You love working with innovative teams to build services for customers, improving build and testing pipelines, and working on advanced orchestration systems. You are also comfortable working with a Java-based backend codebase.

Your Role:
  • Owning the technical design of the automation technologies required for globally deploying, maintaining, and operating platform infrastructure.
  • Coordinating installation, maintenance, and delivery of our operational automation technologies.
  • Working closely with the application development and architecture teams to make informed, collaborative technical decisions.
  • Engaging with teams across networks, security, infrastructure, virtualization, content delivery, integration, and quality assurance.
  • Finding simple, elegant, powerful, and pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
  • Working according to DevOps principles, with full test automation and continuous integration and delivery, and using immutable infrastructure as code.
  • Regularly testing and validating disaster recovery plans, setting up and operating an information security policy, and helping the team maintain an inventory of information and associated assets.

Your Profile:
  • 4-6+ years of experience in the administration of enterprise-grade distributed applications.
  • Enterprise-grade experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Very strong Container and Linux system administration skills.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure, service, and application observation monitoring tools. 
  • Software development background in Java.
  • Strong experience in server backup and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with ISO 2700 and SOC II compliance requirements.
  • You have independently built your problem-solving skills and are very skilled in several capabilities.

Desired Skills:
  • Deploying, administering, and monitoring Google Kubernetes Engine and AWS.
  • Usage of GitHub, Docker, Terraform, Helm Charts, and Jenkins for Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD.
  • Deploying, administering, and monitoring Prometheus, Grafana for distributed application monitoring.
  • Ability to speak Ukrainian is a plus.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
