What You’ll Do
Digital Infrastructure organization, plays a very critical role within Cisco IT. We provide a wide range of infrastructure platform services such as DataCenter, Networking, Compute, Storage, and Databases to the vast internal IT community supporting various Cisco business functions. With the ever-growing complex infrastructure needs, the organization has embarked on an exciting journey to provide on-demand, performant, and elastic infrastructure foundational services built on an OpenStack private cloud. The various services include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Database as a Service (DBaaS).
The Database and Replication Services group within the organization is looking for a Senior Database Administrator to support its critical foundation services for operations in Oracle that include Oracle Enterprise Manager, Identity Management and Connection management for systems spread geographically across multiple data centers.
Who You'll Work With
This team is a dynamic group of highly experienced and motivated database architects, engineers and developers that support business-critical database systems for Cisco IT. The team is also engaged in developing the next generation cloud-based database service. The team supports diverse database & middleware technologies and applications such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle E-business Suite, etc as well as Big Data (Hadoop) platform.
Who You Are
B.S in computer Science (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience in supporting database and infrastructure technologies
Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, Apache and middleware components and Identity Management, Integration of SSO with PING, Duo. Oracle connectivity Manager configuration and management.
EBS Integration with IDM Single sign on.
Experience in Architecting, Designing and Implementation of OIM and other IAM solution With Oracle Identity manager
Oracle Identity Management SME
Configure Role Association Type as per the defined policy
Hands-on on experience related to user identity provisioning / de-provisioning
Hands-on on experience related to Delegation of approvals and workflows
Hands-on with custom connector development.
Responsible for verifying the IDM specific configurations like rules, connectors, policies and other prerequisites documented by project / pre-live team for the production release
Excellent knowledge and understanding of LDAP and database concept, with good exposure SQL
Experience and exposure in RBAC, Compliance solutions, Access certifications solutions
Multi master replication setup/configuration.
Should have the ability to understand customer scenario and requirements (may include integration situations) and be capable of suggesting solutions.
Installation, configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager, Management server, ability to troubleshoot configuration issues, agent deployment, write custom software for Metrics Extensions.
Upgrade Oracle Enterprise Manager to the latest 13.3.
Upgrade OEM Agents and plug-ins to the latest available version.
Test and verify upgrade steps and methodology in Non-Production OEM environment.
Ensure the following success criteria for the upgrade are met:
Monitoring of targets on Oracle database systems is working correctly after the migration.
Monitoring works correctly with Oracle 19 databases, Grid Infrastructure, and other databases system targets.
Management of Data Guard systems function correctly and OEM can be used to perform Data Guard Switchovers.
Ensure that OEM continues to correctly monitor Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliances.
Reports and extracts which retrieve data from the OEM database are working correctly.
Test and verify that OEM fails over correctly between data centers and that all system functionality in both sites after the upgrade is completed.
Upgrade OEM Repository database to version 19.
Update OEM documentation and procedures as needed.
Transfer knowledge of OEM best practices to staff.
Usage of monitoring templates and template collections.
Perform upgrades of databases to version 19 after OEM is upgraded.
Ø Install and configure/upgrade CMAN 19c with high availability
Ø Install and configure/upgrade Observer to monitor high availability between Oracle Data guard sites.
Ø Communicate clearly and effectively using written and verbal communication methods.
Ø Coordinate with software vendor technical support.
Ø Coordinate and implement changes to development, test, and production environments.
Ø Perform other duties as assigned.
