What You'll Do


Security is a highly strategic, growth business for Cisco. The Security Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Operations (SP&O) team is responsible for building and operationalizing the strategy and plan for the team's annual & long-term objectives. We drive execution, alignment, and accountability across our internal teams and external business partners to achieve business outcomes. We drive tight alignment across all Security Marketing functions including business operational processes, strategic cross-functional initiatives, run investment planning/budget, and measures/metrics.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop Annual and Quarterly Budgets. You will work closely with Marketing leaders to align Budgets with Marketing strategy. You will build and maintain a sophisticated model to forecast budget and cost levers. Continuously refine and improve financial models to reflect changing business dynamics and growth strategies.
  • Budget Management: Track and support the execution of planned spend. Working closely with the Security Finance team to align consistent financial reporting.
  • Implement / Establish ongoing management of Finance processes (not full list) including Vendor onboarding, PO creation, Accruals and cross-charges submissions, invoice reconciliation etc.
  • Drive improvements in financial operations processes, reporting automation, and other efficiencies.
  • Analyze business results, identify trends and patterns to drive optimization, and advise strategic decisions.

You are a highly analytical and diligent professional with strong problem-solving skills, complemented by experience in finance. You can connect the dots to see the bigger picture while maintaining a meticulous eye for detail. Thrive in fast-paced environments, bringing operational rigor to ensure execution and impact. Have outstanding social skills and can clearly and concisely articulate complex financial topics.


OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 10+ of experience in Finance, Business, or Marketing operations roles with a history of growing responsibilities
  • 5+ years of work experience with finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, corporate planning and FP&A.
  • Strong level of Excel modeling skills. Experience with additional analytics tools if needed.
  • Build compelling presentations and reports communicating financial insights, performance trends, and strategic recommendations to senior executives and partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Budget, Financial operations, and Analytics in Marketing functions will be a plus.
  • A technology background is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
