As manager of the Security Development team, you will have a substantial impact on the security of millions of Cisco Meraki users all around the world. We are looking for people who are passionate about building full stack security tools and have substantial experience developing in a containerized cloud/data center hybrid environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of engineers in building and supporting critical security systems (including secrets and certificates management)

  • Assist in defining the roadmap for “paved path” secure system development

  • Guide the team in defining quarterly OKRs, milestones and sprint tasks

  • Champion SecDevOps practices throughout the build pipeline

  • Participate in and serve as an escalation point for the Security Development on-call team

  • Facilitate and champion secure coding practices both within and outside of the team

  • Partner with engineering teams in achieving company goals.

  • Represent Security Development in cross functional forums, ensuring achievable commitments


YOU ARE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU:

  • Are passionate about team building and providing compassionate, people focused leadership.

  • Have 3+ years of experience in leading software engineers

  • Are comfortable getting hands-on with code (Python)

  • Have several years of demonstrated experience building, testing and supporting critical production systems. 

  • Have demonstrated experience with a wide selection of AWS services as well as IaaC frameworks such as Terraform. 

  • Are adept with project management; confident with managing scope, timelines and deliverables; Experienced with agile. 

  • Have 3+ years experience in web, database, information, and/or infrastructure security

  • Know and love learning about the latest security tools, infrastructure

  • Enjoy being a resource for other engineers and sharing your knowledge of secure coding practices

  • Have experience on a pager rotation where you responded to incidents quickly

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience in managing the distribution of x509 certificates

  • Confident in knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and other common vulnerabilities

  • Experience with penetration testing

  • Experience with IoT platforms, large-scale distributed systems, and/or client-server architectures

  • Experience with PCI/FedRamp/SOC2/GDPR compliance requirements

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
