What the Security Customer Experience Organization Does

Cisco Security Customer Experience (CX) organization supports customers through the entire lifecycle of a security solution. Portions of this lifecycle include understanding business needs, deploying and optimizing security solutions and configurations, developing automation to assist our customers and engineers, recommending and presenting new technical features, and investigating potential security incidents.

As a Security Consulting Engineer Intern, you will be able to interact with customers and learn how Cisco Consultants plan, design, deploy and optimize Cisco security solutions while acquiring the technical and consultative skills required to be successful for our Cisco customers.

Security Consulting Services

Our Security Consulting Services Team is distributed across the United States by region. Our Security Consultants help our customers understand complex security needs by identifying challenges, risks and vulnerabilities in technology, people, and processes. Additionally, we offer strategic consulting, aligned with Cisco’s product offerings, to help customers with business case development and product adoption.  We achieve this through understanding business objectives and how those objectives influence security decisions, developing strategies and roadmaps to address these requirements, and providing support to existing solutions and projects.

Engagements include developing layered security models, configuration optimizations, automation, compliance assessments (against various compliance frameworks), implementation planning, design, and execution. Consulting Services are also focused on assisting our clients to use and get the most value from their Cisco security products. We advise our customers to adopt and utilize the best-in-class Cisco security technologies, using tried and true methodologies for deployment and migration. We focus on aligning our technologies, or mix of technologies, to accomplish our customer’s business goals through a consultative approach.

Why Cisco

At Cisco, each person brings their unique talents to work as a team and make a difference.

Yes, our technology changes the way the world works, lives, plays and learns, but our edge comes from our people.

  • We connect everything – people, process, data and things – and we use those connections to change our world for the better.
  • We innovate everywhere - From launching a new era of networking that adapts, learns and protects, to building Cisco Services that accelerate businesses and business results. Our technology powers entertainment, retail, healthcare, education and more – from Smart Cities to your everyday devices.
  • We benefit everyone - We do all of this while striving for a culture that empowers every person to be the difference, at work and in our communities.

We Are Cisco

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference. Here’s how we do it.

We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re “old” (30 years strong!) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. An AI/Machine Learning company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can’t put us in a box!

But “Digital Transformation” is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)

Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, we give our egos a break and we give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, we take bold steps, and we take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a commitment to equality for all, there is no moving forward.

So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool.
