You will be leading the technical development of Cisco’s of key security partners in the India region. You will develop important relationships, deliver and drive training, measure effectiveness, consult on practice development, and advocate the partner and channels organization to other Cisco stakeholders.

The Global Security Sales Organization Channels Engineering team is a highly innovative, effective, and fast growing team. We’re fast growing because we’ve proven our value. We work hard, play hard, and we take care of one another. We’re part of an overall Security Sales & Channels organizations and work closely with other technology teams and you will work closely with them too, to ensure we’re providing the best experience for our partners and by extension, Cisco customers.

 

 

Who you are

 

You are technically smart, articulate both verbally and in writing, hard working, and able to prioritise your work schedule. You must be able to prioritise your efforts and be able to say, “no” to requests that don’t drive our core objectives. And you must know when to give yourself a rest and when it’s time to push yourself to the limit. As far as your prior experience, you will have:

 

  • At least 5 years of experience selling or deploying at least two of the following technologies or services:
  • Firewall or IPS
  • Anti-virus or other end-point security products
  • Cloud security products
  • SIEM or other security analytics
  • Secure Web or Email gateways or proxies
  • Managed Security Services
  • Incident Response
  • Network Architecture including routers, switches, and WAN technologies
  •  

 

Our top candidates will also have the following qualities:

 

  • At least 5 years in a pre-sales technical role selling to customers
  • Channels experience - either at a reseller, distributor, or in a vendor role supporting them
  • A four year technical, business, or people development degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience administering Linux, Unix, and Windows environments
  • Proven experience as a quality speaker, presenter, or trainer
  • A good sense of humor and a lot of patience
