What You'll Do
Cisco Security Services provides full life cycle services for Cisco’s customers through delivery of advisory, integration, and handled services. Complementing the strongest portfolio of security products, Cisco is in an outstanding position to deliver enhanced security outcomes for its customers. Coordinated within Cisco’s Customer Experience, Security Services seeks to tackle the most critical challenges of our customers through high-value services.
The Security Architect will lead and affect customer change through architectural and thought leadership as well as running delivery engagements. You will Conceptualize (Customer Requirements Document), Advise, Plan (Implementation Strategy Plan), Design (High Level Design) enterprise security architecture and security operations solutions. You are also encouraged to help identify and pursue business opportunities as they lead delivery as well as support sales in the pursuit of new customers and opportunities. Finally, you are encouraged to act as technical and business leader, mentoring security consulting engineers and supporting the development and improvement of security offers within CX Security Services.

Who You Are
Applicants should have significant knowledge and experience in Security Operations and Security Architecture domains, a consistent track record in security, preferably in a consulting capacity, and a solid understanding across a breadth of topics including security, operations, networking and compliance.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to deliver on the following responsibilities:
Correlate business issues around technology and processes and create an architectural solution specific to a given customer or segment
Trusted Advisor with expertise in security operations and enterprise security architecture domains and deep technical knowledge of at least two security domains
Integrate security solutions into existing infrastructure, driving systems integration and implementation approaches including the identification and integration of third-party products and services into a cohesive solution design
Position, architect, deliver and improve Cisco security solutions
Evaluate and present alternative solutions, efficiently influencing outcomes
Deliver security solutions independently as well as through leading a team of engineers across multiple technical disciplines
Lead, participate, and support worldwide collaboration within the security practice and cross-functionally with other Cisco groups
Build and implement to standards, templates, methodologies, standard methodologies, and delivery frameworks
Lead, monitor, and report on security services engagements at key Cisco customers, interacting with customer technical and executive personnel
While engaging with customers, identify and support the pursuit of business opportunities aligning to customer needs and their requirements as they transform and digitize their businesses
Assist in the development of customer proposals and statements of work, accurately scope engagements as required
Support Cisco Account Teams and Services Business Development Managers in the identification and development of new security services businesses
This is a senior technical role, requiring a minimum of 10 years working experience in IT Security, IT Consulting, and systems integration working with large Enterprise entities.
Requirements include:
University Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
Security specialist with extensive technical, market and business expertise
Knowledge and experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) architecture, SOC platforms and other security and enrichment platforms
Knowledge and experience in automation and orchestration tools
Ability to design custom SOC use cases
Expert understanding of another 2 security technology domains beyond SOC
OT, Network, Cloud security and DevSecOps highly desirable
ITIL, COBIT5, TOGAF, CISSP, SecOps or equivalent certifications and/or experience in containers, cloud, databases, open source, etc.
Proven record of leadership experience in sophisticated programs or projects
Basic program/project management skills
Ability to work with customer business leaders while maintaining relationships with technology teams.
Understanding the customer business model, motivations, influences and how they generate revenue or fund the business
When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
