As a Collaboration Product Sales Specialist (PSS) for the Federal Entitlement or Scientific region you will take a leadership role as the sales specialist driving sales for some of governments largest customers. In the Entitlement region the customer base includes some of the nation’s most important agency’s in the fight against COVID-19 (FDA, NIH, HHS and CDC) while in the Scientific region you will cover some of the biggest federal agencies (USDA, Department of Energy and NASA). Your job will entail being the go-to sales lead in an architectural sales approach with the Account teams of customers. You will understand, articulate, and position both internally and externally Cisco's end-to-end Collaboration Architecture. You will develop and cultivate positive relationships with key Teamwork decision makers in the market and partner contacts, including ecosystem partners. As a Product Sales Specialist you will have the responsible for forecast accuracy opportunities within the assigned territory. You will define the bidding structure and the intelligence needed around our solutions to provide a winning proposal. Mentoring AMs and RMs to make them more effective in selling Collaboration solutions will also be part of your job.
Who You'll Work With
The primary coverage areas include the Federal Entitlement Region or Scientific Region. You will work very closely with multiple external and internal partners as well as with the other groups in Sales and Services organizations. The team is a committed passionate group of individuals laser focused on offering critical services to the citizens of the United States.
Who You Are
Throughout your career, you have demonstrable successful sales experience with 5+ years of proven record in Collaboration related solutions, preferably combining sales experience in these large Civilian Federal government agencies? You have proven success with leading strategic accounts - including sales strategy, opportunity discovery, forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, and short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity management is essential. You excel at team selling approaches and are comfortable applying eye for business and financial expertise to identify and qualify selling opportunities. You have experience being self-sufficient during the entire sales cycle of a Collaboration solution, including both technical and customer facing aspects of our offering. You also thrive in negotiating with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.
