What You'll Do

  • Primary responsibility includes working with designated Managed Services Provider (MSP) partner(s) to build a pipeline of deals and coordinate closure.
  • Responsible for working closely with the Cisco Partner Account Managers, Customer Sales Account Managers, technical teams, and other Cisco functions to effectively build the business with the designated MSPs
  • Responsible for creating awareness of Partner’s Managed Services offers (Cisco based) within Cisco Sales teams
  • Responsible for coordination of awareness and workshop activities, education, usage of tools/artifacts, and driving pipeline
  • Assist select Provider partners in the creation of qualification documentation and perform initial qualification of proposed opportunities, as needed
  • Support creation and update of SFDC records and tracking of lead progress
  • Oversee XaaS & Managed Services opportunities after they have been qualified, assess the customer's needs and goals, competition, and potential solutions, develop a winning strategy in cooperation with our designated select Provider partners and Account Teams to earn the customer’s trust, prepare customer-facing pitch materials, and close the business
  • Apply best practices, processes, and collective knowledge across all active engagements while capturing new best practices, artifacts and lessons learned
  • Identify potential opportunities for developing new programs, improving existing assets, processes and methodologies, and crafting solutions that advance group objectives

Who You Are

You have 10+ years of sales and business development experience in selling Managed Services, XaaS models. Qualifying leads and developing opportunities (Pipeline). You possess a business understanding of Cloud technologies, Software sales, Managed Services, and different partner business models. In addition, you have:

  • A business background that enables engagement with Business Decision Makers along with a sales background that will enable teamwork within Cisco and our Partner community
  • A shown ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, as well as the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions for Partners
  • A flexible personality to work within a geographically distributed and matrix environment.
  • An autonomous thought process and can drive business results.
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to establish relationships, gain consensus, rapidly establish credibility with and gain the confidence of multiple areas across Cisco and Partners.
  • You have an understanding of how to frame client business and technical imperatives and inspire confidence with a variety of internal and external constituents.
  • You can develop and clearly articulate objectives using both analytical thinking, reference to facts, and standard methodologies
  • You have passion, energy, excitement, and intensity to represent Cisco’s partners internally
