What You'll Do
You will lead programs for our Network Security business, collaborating with the product management team and go-to-market functions to bring new products and releases to market, operationalize programs in this space, and serve as the point of contact for cross-business programs and the prioritization of initiatives. You will also be instrumental in ensuring our Security Business Group GTM PMO are always striving for efficient operations, building partner alignment, and accelerating meeting our business results.
In This Role You Will:
- Orchestrate and run program management of new version products, release features from design through to launch, engaging cross functional team to deliver impactful customer/partner experience
- Leverage and contribute to operational tools and processes to meet dates and achieve business goals
- Advise product management, product marketing, sales planning, commercial operations, and other team members on how best to operationalize the product strategy
- Apply expert knowledge to resolve frictions impacting interdependencies within product development life cycle
- Build and manage project teams and work back schedules, ensuring quality control throughout
- Scope and manage deliverables, timelines, resources while identify and resolving risks and dependencies, including contingency plans
- Manage multiple workstreams and initiatives in broad programs through day-to-day relationships and collaboration with key cross-functional partners across product engineering, offer engineering, marketing, UX, customer support and experience, legal, sales, renewals, etc
- Effectively communicate status, changes, and dependencies to applicable partners throughout the project and lead cross functional meetings and work closely with engineering program management to resolve risks, and provide status updates to senior leadership
- Make and implement recommendations for improvements in project management and execution process
Who You Are
You are experienced in GTM product launches and cloud software and SaaS product development lifecycles. Have knowledge of the network security market and have worked on new velocity products as well as more mature products. Understanding of sales, routes to market, and the business of software. Previous experience in fast paced, agile, and SaaS product development environments. Experience leading worldwide cross-functional, collaborative environments and swiftly adapt and respond to changes in those environments. You're an excellent communicator, problem solver and analytical mind, and have ability to elicit cooperation from executives and across multiple partners. Have a "roll up your sleeves" attitude to drive successful outcomes. You are analytical and have a design-thinking approach, while ensuring the team celebrates successes and is motivated by the program mission.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of Program Management experience with a proven track record of working on software/SaaS projects or programs at scale.
- 3+ years of experience in Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, marketing enablement, and seller support.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent certification
- 5+ years working in security, specifically in networking, with a knowledge of the market and competitive landscape
- Experience in sales, sales operations, marketing, or customer success
- Experience in software and SaaS product development and release management
- Ability to partner with senior-level management to create and present the case for new product projects and develop fully integrated launch plans
- Ability to research, plan, prioritize, negotiate translation of strategy to tactical delivery model, conflict management and organizational development
- Ability to drive process and ensure quality while also adapting to rapid market requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.
Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
