Here at Webex CPaaS Solutions (part of Cisco), our vision is to help organizations adopt mobile technologies, so they can engage better with their customers in the digital world. With deployments in 60 countries, processing billions of digital touch points per month, we are a trusted cloud communications software and solutions provider to blue-chip businesses around the world.

Organizations are faced with barriers and complexities when trying to transform how they engage with their customers in the world of digital communications, and we are at the forefront of all that is hot in technology, from multichannel customer engagement to artificial intelligence.

Who you will work With

The position is with the Webex CPaaS product team. Webex Connect is a cloud-based multi-channel platform that allows developers, product managers, and architects in large and medium-sized B2C organizations to accelerate their customer experience transformation initiatives. Webex Connect provides API-based access to and management of a wide range of messaging channels to enable both IMIs and broadly Cisco’s product suite and enterprise, wholesale, and telecom clients to connect and communicate with their customers.

We are looking for an upbeat senior-level product manager who is passionate about work and has a highly developed desire to make the product a success. The candidate will be responsible for working with the product team to drive the strategic vision and product roadmap, defining and crafting the product features, and chipping into the development of customer-facing tutorials, demos, and other collateral to drive the go-to-market activities.

The role involves working with multiple team members in the US, UK, and India and requires the ability to develop effective working relationships while maintaining a comprehensive awareness of ongoing team activities.

Who you are

  • You bring validated 5+ years experience in product management, particularly within a B2B CPaaS or SaaS product company. Your expertise in cloud-native micro-service messaging platforms and APIs will be crucial in guiding the execution of our product roadmaps and initiatives.
  • You have working experience with technical concepts such as A2P SMS, MMS, SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer), API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native telco applications.
  • Your understanding of the SMS market, including the nuances of the 10DLC ecosystem, brand management, campaign management, number management, and traffic routing, empowers you to make informed execution decisions.
  • You take charge of the product roadmap, translating strategic goals into practical plans. Your ability to complete within defined timelines is pivotal in achieving team and company objectives.
  • You excel at defining clear success criteria for testing and product acceptance. Your execution-focused approach ensures that the product meets the highest quality standards.
  • Your attention to detail is reflected in your competence at creating and maintaining high-quality product documentation. This includes crafting comprehensive Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), epics, and user stories that guide the development team effectively.
  • Working seamlessly within a cross-functional team environment is your forte. You collaborate with engineers, UI/UX designers, architects, and operations managers to ensure perfect execution aligned with the plans.
  • Your strong command of oral and written English communication is vital. You are skilled at conveying complex technical concepts in an understandable manner to diverse audiences, including developers, technology architects, and senior leaders.
  • Your analytical capabilities shine as you dissect requirements, contextualize them, and arrive at optimal solutions. Your execution-oriented approach ensures that solutions align with business goals.

Desired Skills

  • Product marketing experience in addition to the product management experience
  • MBA from a recognized institute
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in customer communications, customer engagement, OTT messaging, web technologies, connected devices, etc.

Why Cisco

#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference. Here’s how we do it.

We embrace digital and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re “old” (30 years strong!) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. An AI/Machine Learning company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns, and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can’t put us in a box!

But “Digital Transformation” is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)

Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, we give our egos a break, and we give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, we take ambitious steps, and we take the difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a commitment to equality for all, there is no moving forward.

So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
