You will be working with the Meraki Product Management team. This group owns Cisco Spaces, the world’s most powerful cloud platform that turns buildings into smart spaces. We’ve already digitized over 10 billion sq. Ft. of spaces - and we are just getting started. Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an expert product marketing professional with a proven history of success working in the SaaS industry. In this role, you will implement the vision of Cisco Spaces platform and solutions into use-cases mapped to our growing buyers and users.

You will collaborate extensively with product managers, product ops, content writers, engineering and user-experience designers to build a cohesive GTM strategy & product marketing and see through the execution. You will also work with Cisco sales teams and customers to drive awareness and adoption of the product and garner customer insights to drive future product development.

What You’ll Do At Cisco Spaces

  • Research, build and own use case messaging. Translate product use cases into simple, visually impactful stories that will help customers and sellers understand the value that Spaces delivers
  • Develop customer facing collateral, including presentation decks, ebooks, one pager, videos, social media posts, landing pages, etc.
  • Bring out the value of the use cases by building ROI/ TCO calculators for Cisco Spaces apps, solutions and platform
  • Liaise with technical PMs to validate use cases and publish reference architectures
  • Work with the Product Management & design team to build interactive experience demos
  • Define campaign messaging for customers and sales teams. Collaborate with the PM, digital and design teams to ensure alignment with overall brand and product messaging. Analyze campaign data to measure effectiveness of messaging.
  • Create content for key events and product launches, including blogs, research reports, keynote speeches, social media & PR stories, video and demo scripts, and longform articles.
  • Conduct customer interviews, build strong customer advocacy and social proof via case studies, blogs, social media posts, testimonials, etc.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research and collaborate PMs and design team responsible to build MRDs (Market Requirement documents) for Spaces apps and platform components.
  • Work closely with our sales partners to develop sales pitches, playbooks, competitive battle cards, objection handling, and use cases for different buyer personas and scenarios to enable sellers.

Who you are

A mix of right brain creative skills with left brain analytical skill to drive customer wow factor. Intellectually curious marketer with at least 5 of years experience, preferably with a demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative cloud/SaaS products

Has great copywriting skills, a flair for design (UI/UX), experience working on social media and email campaign experience. Ability to get your hands dirty with SaaS product adoption, automation and analytics tools. Possess cross-functional and project management skills to keep programs and teams on track. Strong communicator and storyteller with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and different functions; ability to take complex and make it simple.

Inquisitive decision maker that analyzes and synthesises data points leading to breakthroughs or significant insight. Consistent track record of building a range of marketing assets (including on-message product demo videos, sharp succinct slide pitch-decks in Apple Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint). Creative problem solver that can generate innovative marketing ideas, work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of partners to drive execution.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
