About the Role

This exciting marketing position has a unique opportunity to shape our fast growing analytics solution while being part of a transformational team at AppDynamics, now part of Cisco. We have a big opportunity ahead of us and we’re looking for a Sr Manager of Product Marketing to lead messaging and positioning for our Business iQ portfolio. You’ll also direct integrated GTM planning and execute cross-functionally with product and sales teams.

Core to this role will be communicating AppDynamics’ vision, market leadership, value proposition, and differentiation. This includes demonstrating our thought-leadership around connecting application performance to business outcomes. This marketer will help craft all product positioning, market messaging and collateral, and develop joint value propositions with Cisco and strategic partners on how our products are differentiated. The Senior Manager of Product Marketing will support global product launches and ensure all teams are launch-ready, with the opportunity to define how we communicate our analytics strategy to the market and all necessary internal teams.


Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging for Business iQ, targeting key personas and industries
  • Translate value propositions into impactful sales enablement content, including pitch decks, case studies, sales sheets, videos, collateral, whitepapers and more
  • Be the expert on business analytics tools, monitor industry trends, and keep a close eye on competitors
  • Partner with demand generation teams on development of campaigns and content
  • Be a customer advocate; make sure customer content is included in anything and everything we do in marketing
  • Deliver demos, technical content, and thought leadership presentations
  • Create and maintain content on our website
  • Spearhead content and programs that foster AppDynamics’ thought leadership in the industry, resulting in higher brand awareness
  • Represent the company at hosted client events, partner meetings and industry conferences
  • Work closely with regional PR agencies as an industry thought leader and AppDynamics spokesperson
  • Partner with sales enablement and sales operations to unlock new channels of growth


About You

The right candidate will have technical product experience and know how to support and accelerate the enterprise sales cycle with inspiring content. You are proficient in translating technical features into clear and concise benefits and are familiar with IT personas and industry trends. You are an excellent writer, spokesperson and presenter, with the marketing acumen to translate your expertise into compelling content across multiple channels. You will need to deal with complexity and nuance, think fast on your feet, and demonstrate credibility with a variety of audiences ranging from the app developer to IT operations to sales.


Requirements

  • Relevant domain expertise in business analytics, big data technology, or data analytics highly preferred
  • BA/BS (engineering or related technical field)
  • 5-8+  years of product marketing experience in enterprise software (ideally SaaS)
  • Demonstrated ability to execute cross-functionally with sales, marketing and product organizations
  • Proven track record in developing highly effective sales presentations and collateral
  • Experience driving a product launch end-to-end
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting
