Product Manager – Cisco+ Automation

The Business Entity – Network Services

The Network Services group develops a suite of software products and solutions that enables Cisco customers to adopt world-class networking technologies in a modern and flexible model.

Role and Responsibility

You'll be part of a dynamic team developing a leading-edge automation platform for some of Cisco’s biggest customers. You’ll need to be the type of person who can think out of the box and is comfortable wearing many hats every day. This role has the following core responsibilities:

  • Create feature and technical product requirements based on inputs from customers, field teams, operations, competitive analysis, and other market inputs 
  • Own parts of the overall product roadmap and create long term strategies, aligning with corporate goals and objectives
  • Collaborate on a technical level with software architects on platform and product designs to ensure the solution is able to meet market and business needs.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to drive feature execution and timely delivery
  • Work closely with user experience (UX) teams to define user flows and personas
  • Work closely with other Cisco business units to drive requirement definition and product/release scope

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSEE/CS or equivalent work experience with a Master's degree (MS/MBA) preferred
  • 3-5 years of software product management experience
  • Experience with automation technologies, including orchestration and workflow
  • Strong domain expertise in networking (L2/L3) and software-defined networking
  • Ability to work smoothly with customers and sales teams on high-profile, mission-critical projects
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver highly compelling product marketing collateral
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to persuasively deliver presentations to senior executives, partners, and customers
  • Ability to translate technology features into business benefits
  • Team player with a strong ability to work across the larger Cisco organization and partner with other teams as required to deliver a whole product sale
  • Works well in ambiguity
  • A personality type that can navigate the nuances of cross-organizational interactions
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong leadership skills, and a track record of leading complex initiatives from concept to launch
